Wasn't there a thing about M&M's or some sort of candy to follow? I have it on cdrom problem is one of the cdroms went bad. It's rare but I've had this happen now on two games (cd rot?, I've had dvd rot when the layers seperate like Laser Rot ) but cd rot I'd assume the label went bad. The game itself it alot of fun to play. Don't find those anymore. too much about fancy graphics..
I was like okay Lighthouse no , Nam? the worst use of that engine ever? Like putting Witchhavin on here (#2) NAM???? Yeah sure I bought it for more I'm selling the cd rom version (1 cent) That doesn't work anymore. Bloated absurd game that was about as frustrating to play as it was in real life. Only people who have played this game for the engine are gonna bother buying this. Otherwise. Yeah the original is buggy. see how this fairs. lol
The first prequel at least was fun playing and had a good story behind it. Although it lacked the humor of Wang when he's much older... Then again maybe by then he's a touch insane. DRM... Not on Shadows Warrior 2. Only had a DRM thing on Shadow Warrior 2013 prequel and only with the non DX 11 version which is unfortunate since I play for story , so I cheat.. If you call it that Thats to say like most books I don't look to see what the end of the game ends like. The graphics are far better on DX11 but no DRM on that only on the non DX 11 version. This game is like Blade Runner with an Asian character still voiced by a white guy..Who isn't very funny. He's good and vulgar language but that sh** don't make it F_____ funny.... That and the anime girl went from a strong willed woman to lalalalalalalalala yes whatever look at me. smh Ahh miss the fun in the old games at least the first prequel had some fun in it. Now about the only thing good about Shadow Warrior is the massive worlds they have in the game. both far and wide and up and down. All that and still they missed the mark 3 yrs to that one and 4 years after this one and nothing. Especially with what I agree is an utterly confusing ending. Wait were they closed? Oh well. Yeah the weapons kick butt but Even with Cheats Shadow Warrior 2013 was still harder. This is just a shooter. The other one was a shooter with where do I go. Then again this one has the stupid side stories and took a couple days to figure that out. What ? is this game nothing but missions. zzzzz Some call it boring, meh compared to the first prequel yes. But it's not boring. Interesting storyline but unlike the first prequel, seems to be a major disconnect in time and what about the main sword. Will Miss that.
And seems to run on Intel only graphics but the sound on the HP is horrid. Needs a subwoofer on your laptop for proper effect. Had to run this thru the Razer Booster to get it to run properly. Alot of graphics issues if I didn't. Always addictive. And how the metal music jumps around is fun :) They don't make games like they used to.
Owners of the original version since it's not for sale anymore it seems should be able to get this at a really bit discount like 99 cents? I'd only consider it if it has an alternate ending. Namely that Nate knows how to head bang. (Thats a hint for those who haven't played it. )
whoops. can get killed on god mode. ala Max Payne 2. I got rid of Max Payne 2 for that reason. Sold it ages ago. Some people play games for the challenge. Some play it for level design and art. I'm the latter idiot. And lemmings like to shout out how they hate God mode. Well thats up to them. When it doesn't I have my own rash opinions about it. This game seriously needs saves games attached as extra's. At least one major bug towards the beginning that'll get you caught everytime. Maybe we needed to grow up under Japanese games, not american releases that were toned down of Japanese games (Mario's Lost Levels etc) They'd love this challenge I'm sure. So I played this and reminded myself fast why I hated it. Fortunately there is a save game site so I could bother to finish it.
No point. And even the ending of the third game is full of holes. Yeah I understand time loops to 900 million ways. Hopefully we'll wake up and the last two , especially up to the point of the needle in the chest is just Goals dream or nightmare. Rufus who survived just about several falls from points way up in the sky done in by falling from space. Yeah right.
Not really a review more um..... uh Hey Goal help me out. Did you find the walkthru yet :) Some games are made for smartasses the others are made for walkthru's. This series is similar to The Book of Unwritten Tales. ie if Nate is stuck in a **** and there's hope, odds are there will be an ending but not yet. Once you get used to the cartoon nature of this series it is quite similar. Just Rufus is no gnome. But they are both complete idiots without walkthru's. (uh oh Spunky Goal is coming down the stairs Baby Goal hide me inside your clothing quick :P uh... Oh and the end. er wait What is this Star Trek And the end. Wait no that's not right It is an ending right. When? Probably when it stops makes money for anyone but Rufus :P
Always wanted to play that. As my handle suggests been a fan since the beginning. So games or books or trying to play the music. I expect top notch. Even for it's day this was above the bar... Just not many could play it let alone. True the main complaint was it really didn't make sense when compared to the books. But growing up I've figured by now that that shouldn't take away from gameplay. And I just happened on a video on youtube about it wished it was on gog and someone points out it is now :O Okay I'm here... In Jan 1995 I would have done Haplo but there was too many Haplo's and not enough Patryn's and I would turn 20 that year so PatrynXX it would be. 23 years now using the same handle when I can. :)
Love the first two games in the series. Not sure where they are going with the 3rd :( Has nothing much to do with Syberia 1 and 2. I am hoping they are going to do with 3 what they did with the first game. Have a sequel . 3 is lacking the learning about history than 1 and 2 had. Re playing them again thnks to gog. Only a couple of adventure games I've played more than twice and this series is among my favourites. Alot with the Art Deco among other things.
