Duck Detective: The Ghost of Glamping

Same fun, but a bit short.

The style, music, voice acting, and puzzles are still there, but the story seems... half baked and unfinished. It is also very short for the asking price. What is there is great, but it feels like it ended after act 1 out of 3 acts. As such, it feels more like a DLC than a sequal of a complete game.

The Slormancer

Great little ARPG romp

The game is simple, and very entertaining. It has a campy appeal, making fun of the genre itself, while having a very approachable build. The only issue I have is that it is fairly simple. I would have liked the difficulty to be increased somewhat. Very much worth the price.

Cryptmaster

Great dry humour and fun world.

The world is unique and the characters you interact with spirited. The gameplay feels very natural due to the vast amount of voiced responses. The voice acting and the dry wit of the cryptmaster makes each interaction a joy to experience. If you like BG3 due to the characters and interactions, then you will like this game. It is not as exquisite, however.

Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales

A fairly classic tale well done

The story is a fairly classic tale of betrayal, friendships and overcoming an immense foe, but even though it is little new in the story itself, it is properly enhanced by proper utilization of the fact it is an interactive experience. This lends new freshness to the tropes you do find. It is also great to see a game where gameplay and story are reinforcing eachother, instead of just having a story tacked on to give the mechanics of the game some context. In an industry that has lost its integrity to rereleasing the same skinner boxes over and over again with more and more addictive, but ultimately paper thin, experiences to the pry as much money out of the consumerbase, this game is truly a shining beacon on how it is done. Gameplay wise it offers enough variety to not make the game boring. It can, however, not stand on its own. Without the story to motivate the battles were too monotonous and boring towards the end causing me to lose interest in replaying just for the sake of the combat. Because of that I would like to give it a 4.5, but since I cant, max score.
