This game falls short on nearly every aspect of an RPG, a shooter and as a story telling medium. The main things you will notice is the utterly pointless dialogue options with barely any incorporation of the character you created with the very limited options. You can literally see where they took a hacksaw to the game and just cut out parts that weren't functioning or they couldn't finish in time. This game literally has a sixth attribute slot that is BLACK, because they took out an attribute and never replaced it or redesigned the UI to adapt. I can't fit it all in here. I tried, I went 1000 words over the limit. Let me simply summarize the BIGGEST dissapointment next to the horrendous driving AI, the scripted railroad missions, the really lackluster city with all it's gangs and factions not caring about how you act towards them, the stupid dialogue options that don't do anything and so on for 2000 words. The biggest dissapointment was the hacking minigame. Which we were promised to be an intricate system where we could access base functions, cameras and so much more from a terminal or enemy that you directly plugged into and hacked.... we got a crossword puzzle. A crossword puzzle you will do over a million times during the game. The same boring match the number sequences crossword puzzle instead of a fun gwent like game where you have to crack through an enemies ICE protection by playing program cards (enemies have no protection against hacks, you can literally take down minibosses in 4 seconds with hacking) you do crossword puzzles. This game was a huge let down. Whoever designed the city itself should be thanked and given a raise cause that person bought you an extra star.
An excellent city manager that provides constant challenges for survival. The setting has been given allot of attention. The game conveys in every possible way the sheer cold of the artic and the struggle for survival. Choices to make, hard ones, that might come to haunt you later. It's your choice if you wish to creatr a society in the snow that clings to survival by iron hand or belief in a better tomorrow. Sadly it doesn't really manage to stay interesting. With currently 3 scenarios there is very little ACTUAL content. Whilst it is narratively varying from scenario to scenario, the game doesn't really vary the gameplay. Yes the new objectives in each scenario will keep you on your toes but after you've seen it once you know exactly when it will happen. There seems to be no variation at all. You will always be managing your resources whilst completing objectives in the same way. Building the same optimal set up to complete the objectives as best as possible before time runs out. Currently there is no way to play enflessly until your resources run out or open a random event playthrough. The game thus has very little replay value unless you are interested in optimizing your strategy for a specific scenario. Rather than getting the feeling of building a city that can last till the promised spring you are just busy checking boxes according to the script of the scenario. The game initially launched with 3 scenarios and has now added a fourth. If they add an openen ended survival map or a random events version of the scenarios I would give it 5/5. However I still recommend buying it if you like city managers. I say managers specifically because it's not so much about building and growing as it is about managing spaces.
A horrible game. Just all round miserable experience from start to finish. Boring. Backtracking. Boring. Puzzles. Boring. Slow movement speed. Boring. Loading screen puzzles. Boring. No map. Boring. Shit bugged pciture mechanic that cuts off numbers. Boring. Just a miserable experience all round. It wants to be Myst so bad you can taste the envy when it fails on every front. It barely has characters to interact with. It barely has puzzles it's just the same shit over and over with either math number puzzles or teleportation rotation puzzles. Worst of all though is that near the end of the game there is ONE moment where player death can occur. Yes in this entire game where NOTHING can kill you. Where you have been encouraged to interact and inspect everything they put in a red orb that fucking kills you. In a game with no auto save mechanic. I played this game months ago and recently picked it up. I wasted 4 hours that got erased thanks to this red orb. A failed pathetic game that doesn't even deserve the Myst association.
An amazing game that paints a society of rodents living in turbulent times. It's the old tales of brave mouse knights brought to life in a daring but frail little mouse named Tilo. Solid gameplay of sneaking, climbing and costumeing to get you to safety and continue your quest to find those dear to you. It also looks absolutely gorgeous.
