If someone likes games like Sea Dogs, Sid Mayers Pirates or Black Flag than he can be interested with this one but if you also like Warhammer Fantasy than you should at least give it a try it's fun. But what would elevate it from a mediocre game to something very good would be mod support. there is not so much of a content in the long run and game may feel a little bit empty, especially if you like chaos factions. My biggest problem with this game are the choices you get when playing chaos, the only faction that got a unique captain model is Khorn which is a woman, while my best boi Slaanesh got some ugly generic Chaos warriors, not some qute femboy with BDSM outfit, granted that there are more Slaaneshi creman on board of your ships but devs... allow me at least to play with this model! PLEASE! :-D
Leanna's Slice of life is a deep soul enriching tale of love betrayal and sacrifice depicted unlike in any other game to date. The design of th husband is borderline genious, his eyes covered by his hair gives him a thick layer of mistic. The main heroine is at first glance a naive and cheery character, but with time we are able to unveil how deep and complex she really is. Some here emphasised the Netorare aspecto of this position, this is only a half-truth, multile endings give heroes many ways out of their peril and everything depends on true character of a player and by this brilliant design this game this game can be placed among the greatest works of art like "War and Peace", "Citizen Kayne" and "Teenage Mutant Ninjia Turtles". This is a position I would reccomed to my beloved mother and alredy petitioned my countries ministry of education to put it in our schools curriculum we cannot let this beautiful diamond of a game to forever be hidden in the shadows of obscurity. Spoiler: I got cuckold ending, this is not NTR husband likes it game is fun.
Game is overall good. I loke 40k games like Dawn of War (obviously) and i like turn based strategy games like Age of Wonders and Disciples. The turn limit can be somewhat annoying and it was in Valkyria Chronicles where it wasn't a problem but here it can limit your tactics and sometimes you are forced to rush your troops. (And you need to know that to reinforce your unit you need to basically skip their turn and to reinforce morale you need to pull them away from battle first). I need to play it on a higher difficulty than normal because it's almos a cakewalk. But the game is still enjoying. The only problem I have with this game is the implementation of hotseat. It's quite cumbersome to play. First you need create online battle and protect it with password (just to protect your game from someone else who want's to play onlie) and than you need to accept challenge yourself. Game looks wierd and unintuitive, each player needs to load each turn seperatly and his turn begins with your enemy previous movements. It's just wierd. At end of each turn you need to go back to menu and select player whoes turn it is now. (An both players are named the same).
I love space simulators like X series, and i like games like Binding of Isaac and Rouge Legacy. This game is a little bit of both. The combat feels awesome fast pace and yet intuitive sometimes it can be hard (mainly when you fight too many ships). It is rougelike so most of your stuff disappears after death. But permament ship upgrade mechanic always gives you this urge to try harder to unlock more. Everspace looks amazing and on my shitty 5-6 year old laptop game runs flawlessly on medium ofcourse.
