What can I say that hasn't been said already... It was my introduction to Baldur's Gate series as well as the first DnD experience and...it is the best game that I've ever played. I am hooked. I am in love (not only with Shadowheart but with the game mind you). I'm even planning on buying the physical collection just because it is such a legendary game. And all thanks to Larian and their incredible team. Thank you for this masterpiece, thank you for making it so easily moddable, thank you for no locked content behind a DLC and thank you for all those countless hours that I've wasted playing this game. 10/10 I'll go waste some more!

Usually I do not post reviews but since seeing how this game is still being bombarded by negative ones, I NEEDED to write this. I've played Agony on both PC and my Xbox and if I would describe this game in one sentence it would be that it's is extremely underrated and misunderstood rough gem in today's gaming world. The duality of many things haunts this game. It's both a walking simulator and stealth game. It's a horror experience and a puzzle one. It gives you both oldschool game and something out of alternative universe vibe. It feels like a game that you've played a thousand times and a game that you've never played before (and maybe never will)... it's hard to put it into words. Yes' it still feels unfinished, still has bugs and crashes, some NPC models feel a bit dated and not enough variety between assets but it is still gorgeous to look at and the atmosphere will draw you in if you let it. My main criteria for a game are immersion and atmosphere and this game overflows with it. Just stop looking for flaws and enjoy the ride. The gameplay is still very oldschool at heart and it could turn some people off. Especially those who came looking for demonesses with huge bouncing tiddies (they have those for sure, but that is not a message that this game wants to convey to you). In order to finish it you'll have to read the environment, take time, attention and a lot of patience since you will die a lot (even for stupid reasons), but dying in Agony is part of experience and |I believe if you would go to such hellish world you'll die a thousand deaths before you could be redeemed (or not) and that's what this game teaches you. As a fan of Zdzisław Beksiński and H.R. Giger (that's what prompetd to play it in the first place) I was in awe and I'm very happy that such games as this (as well as Succubus and Scorn) are being made and I can immerse myself into the worlds inspired by my favourite artists. It really feels like developers put a lot of love and hope into this game and even though it has mixed reviews at best I can see it getting a cult following (and maybe even some modders attention) in the future. Furthermore, I would like to thank the developers for not abandoning the game despite everything and delivering the Unrated version in the end. I will always respect a company that keeps their promises no matter what. So thank you devs, and for the readers of this review, if you are looking for something unique and you are not afraid of some disturbing imagery I would invite you to immerse yourself in this fun, imaginative, frustrating, beautiful and horrible mess of a gem! P.S. Sometimes game crashes on newer systems at the very beginnging. Engine has a problem with an outdated version of OpenSSL. For me in order to pay I just had to relaunch a game but for people who can't run it, there is a "mod" on nexus for that as well as manual fix on Reddit and Steam forums. Ejoy!
