Cyberpunk 2077

A very mediocre gaming experience

I'm reviewing this game without regard for bugs (of which I've had a couple, but nothing game breaking). Also I've not had any performance issues while running on everything "ultra" on 1080p. My set up: RTX 2080S, I9-9900K, 16 GB of DDR4 RAM 3000 Mhz, Nvme 970 Evo Plus Good: - Music in general is awesome and is up to CDPR's standards! - Visuals are good and I haven't seen to many glitches! - Main story is okay. - Very few loading screens. Neutral: - Controls are okay for me. Be it in combat or while driving...but I get used quickly to new stuff like this, so it might be just me. - Interaction with your surroundings. It's there, you can have oneliners from strangers or talk with shop keers...it's really nothing breathtaking but it exists. - Character progression has everything what you'd expect from an RPG, but nothing innovative. One might argue the perks are quite bland. - Combat offers a variety of approaches..but at least on difficulty "hard", it's enough to go for stealth kills, headshots and a couple of grenades. Hacks are more the cherry on top, but not necessary. Bad: - Abundance of loot, you'll find yourself just looking for the highest dps on weapons, finding blue, purple or orange loot doesn't feel that rewarding. What works in a fantasy setting, might feel off in a futuristic one. - Sidecontent - be it gigs or otherwise, feels extremely recycled and meaningless. The Ubisoft is strong in this one... - Keanu Reeves...please keep celebrities out of games. They're not only immersion breaking, in this case his voiceover just plainly sucks. Every line he utters seems like a 12 year trying to be cool. The UGLY: - Your choices don't really matter in most cases. This kills the "role playing" aspect in its very core. And just having different endings won't save the day. All in all, even taking bugs and performance issues completely out of the equation: it's simply not a really remarkable game and 3/5 stars are definitely the max I can give right now.

GWENT: The Witcher Card Game

Great overhaul!

Great! It does seem to be a completely different game now that they've overhauled most of the things I've found annoying. 3 to 2 rows is good, since it now actually makes a difference in which row you stick a lot of cards in. The artifact system is interesting, you get a lot more free ore and other stuff now :) Furthermore I like the idea of learning each card anew since they do completely different stuff. Also ridiculous powerpoint for cards seem to be out of this game as well! Oh, and drawing 3 additional cards / round instead of 2 and then 1 makes this game more than it's previous iteration of "outcome of round 1 decides the res tin 9/10 cases".
