When firing up this game for the first time I remember being awestruck not only at the unique atmosphere, but also the fact that I had crapped my most favorite gym shorts after an argument with my MOTHER who made me so angry after purchasing this game from Media Play, AKA back when they made REAL games, sold them in REAL BIG boxes at a REAL brick and mortor store. And yes mom I bought a game instead of helping pay your precious bills. Don't you want your only son to be happy? Great game, great memories. A real game for a real gamer Only. I bought new shorts.
Mother used to encourage me to play games so long as I would write a report afterwards about, and this is one she picked out herself. Obviously this was sexier than the usual game shed pick out for me but I was 26 at the time so it's not like I wasnt a adult. So anyway I fire up the game for the first time and I start cranking and the hour hand on the clock went round and round until it was suddenly 2AM and thats when things get hazy. I woke up in the hospital and the doctor told me he had never seen a case that serious in his entire career, turns out there had been a gas leak in our home and I just imagined my mom's face over all the characters in this game talking to me! Even firing up this game now I can still hear her voice in my head and it brings back great memories. If you know what it is going in it should help on your report
You are gonna have to chisel off a bunch of caked on crap off your boxers after this one because if you're like me you aren't going to leave the desk for bathroom breaks after installing this one! The poop chunks be digging into my thigh for real. Give it a shot!
Probably one of the best deals for cosmetic accessories in a JRPG. I didn't buy it on GOG because it was more expensive on Steam and I wanted to support harder. On the face it may seem like spending the price of a full game for a cosmetic pack would be absurd. But when I was a kid, we all knew that every Thursday when my Dad got home from work was hose day. That's when he would line us up, all the kids and smack us around with the hose and I'm ashamed to say that on more than one occasion I defecated from fear. The skins are fun and add a little flair on repeated playthroughs. Recommended.
Aw man, this one takes me back. The graphics may be pretty dated by today's standards but my dad used to get so mad at me when I'd stay up late past my bed time that he would scream so hard he would doo doo his pants. The action animations also have a certain charm as well. Give it a chance to grow on you!
