More recent versions of Windows 10 have a feature called 'Ransomeware Protection.' You'll need to exclude the Neverwinter executable file from this protection. Go to Windows Security, Virus & threat protection, scroll down to Randsomeware protection, click on Manage ransomeware protection, click on Allow an app through Controlled folder access, click on Add an allowed app, click on Recently blocked apps, you should find nwmain.exe listed, click on it to allow it through. If you haven't recently tried to load it, then just do Browse all apps and find nwmain.exe. I'm not promising it will work, but it definitely solved the problem for me. Good luck and stay safe!
