Turn-based, progressive research which increased firepower and defense, turn based battle on the ground. Live action graph based aerial battle. Old school graphics. Sill an awesome Classic.Even with graphics and game play as dated as this is still a great game. Would Recommend 7 out of 10
This is an alternative Stellaris, Master of Orion and some of those other decent turn based exploration/conquer space games. I like the twist this game puts on things. Its interesting and fun IMO. There are some complaints from others about broken mechanics. I dont really think there is. Everything comes together nicely with the Base Game and the Vaulters DLC plus the little free DLCs. I am enjoying it and would recommend it "IF" you like turn-based content. If you dont, this isnt for you. I would say...8 out of 10. EDIT: I bought the "Awakening" DLC and it really bumped it up a notch so I'll change my score to 8.5 out of 10 A lot of people didn't seem to like some of the content that came with "Awakening" but you can actually adjust or "turn off" the aspects you don't like which is what I've done. Really enjoy the final product with the DLCs I have now. There are 2 DLCs that I dont think I will be getting just because of their descriptions, I dont think their added content would make things more fun. But...Very Enjoyable! If you decide to get it, I really hope you enjoy it too. Have fun!
Takes after the XCom genre. Turn-based. Includes alien and hybrids in available units to make things interesting. Nice twist on the XCom approach to battle. Its not a big twist, so it doesn't ruin the fun but actually adds to it for me.
