Creaks

Braid of Persia

Creaks is no point & click adventure. But it is a beautiful and challenging puzzle game. It's more like "Prince of Persia" or "Braid" but without the time-mechanics. With each level you travel down into a mysterious world, always followed by destruction. It's fun to solve every puzzle by using and avoiding the enemies. I also enjoyed finding - and sometime playing - all hidden interactive paintings. Although some scenes can be a bit of a brain teaser, the overall game is fair, logical and solvable. It's very satisfying when your solution works out as expected (or just works by accident).

There Is No Game : Wrong Dimension

Emotional Drag & Drop Adventure

I was expecting everything, but I've not been prepared of what an emotional journey this is going to be. And it just has one of the best ingame songs of all times. This game is truly a masterpiece and belongs in every gamers library.

Boxville 2

Lovely Adventure

A beautiful but little too short sequel to Triomatica's BOXVILLE. After your friend was carried away it's our mission to find and rescue him. Art style and gameplay are the same as before, and again perfectly executed. Too bad it's so short (took me 3 hours to complete). More scenes, more challenging puzzles, more everything would have been really great. If you enjoyed the first game, buying this one is a no-brainer, especially since the price is totally fair. So feel free to support this promising indie dev from Ukraine.

Inspector Waffles Early Days

Nice litte game

I try to be fair here. Early Days is the story prequel to the Inspector Waffles, which is great if you played and liked the first game. The Gameboy-ish pixelstyle is a strange but nice approach and it works out. But the art-style have not been great executed and comes with some flaws... The dialog font, is not good the read. Too thin, too wide spaces and sometimes with a glitch. There are so many examples of much better Gameboy fonts from the 90s original games. The overall character design is - to be honest - really not great. The cat inspector does not look like a cat in the game, even worse it's has more of a rat. And since all cats look alike, it's hard to tell which is which in the game. Why not spending more time on a proper character art? Again, games from the 90s did this already much better! So, if you choose to mimic this style, please be consequential and don't repeat mistakes from the past. The 8-Bit music is ok. It blends in, but nothing that sticks with you forever. The game itself and the puzzles are fun. Not particular hard, although finding "Mad Catter" during playthrough can be challenging. Took me 6-8 relaxed hours to complete. The price is fair, so you may consider supporting this indie dev. I really like to see their next game and their development for sure.

Loco Motive

A very fine adventure

If you are into Point & Click you can buy this game without hesitation! Great writing, very funny and beautiful graphics with really smooth animations. Voice actors also did a great job. Although puzzles could be a bit more challenging here and there. Maybe a 'hard-mode' with longer/more complex puzzle chains would be a great addition. Took me about 11h to solve, so playtime is very satisfying. Hope there will be a sequel in the near future!
