You cannot build the pretty buildings you see on the screen, they are just there to show you how each city looks. The object of this game is to learn how to balance ones business with their resources. Other scenarios allow one to try and cut costs of a losing company, learn how to trade stocks, find out how to manufacture goods. Once you have played this game you know how society works and it is a great asset in the business world. Do not expect to be excited by animations the excitement comes when you start shutting down your competitors.
The older graphics soon give way to the creativity of the designers. This game always provides unique and sometimes funny suprises the characters and weapons that come along as it progresses. A few days play and one is addicted to it.
A mature design that out ranks Command & Conquer because it uses Classical music and is bloodless. 3D topology at the time was the best, the later versions of this game still exist under the name Supreme Commander. Another timeless game.
The best pinball simulation I have ever played. Still haven't gotten high points on it though.
