Had I paid full price for this game, I would have been disappointed. I got it at a great discount, and it was well worth it. Right from the start, I was absorbed by the beautifully simple graphics and amazing storyline. Most of the puzzles were fairly easy, but there were enough that really had me scratching my head for a solution that it kept the game challenging enough. The storyline is a bit flawed at the end, but all in all, it was well worth the investment. You definitely should pick this one up, but wait for a sale. I'm hoping the developer has more games like this in the works.
I bought this game when it first came out, and was immediately immersed in it. The gameplay is fantastic, the puzzles difficult enough to keep you interested but not too frustrated, and the soundtrack is wonderful. If you're not singing "Pharkas, Freddy Pharkas! Fearless, earless, and free!" within the first five minutes, then this game probably isn't for you. Otherwise, saddle up, because you're in for a great adventure! Just watch out for the snail invasion!
It was my junior year of college when this game came out. My friends and I spent countless hours in the computer lab playing head-to-head. There was even a way you could pair up three computers so you had not only the front view, but views to both sides as well. Talk about an intense gaming experience! It took me an extra semester to graduate, but it was worth it!
I still have the original discs for this & Crossfire. I've spent countless hours playing, and still love it. The voices are amazing, especially the guy that plays CEO Nwambudike Morgan. Very cool. Thanks GOG!
Even though I haven't been able to play this game (until now) for ages, I've still kept the disc around simply for the magnificent soundtrack. The gameplay was way ahead of its time, and I'm so glad that GOG is around to keep the memory alive.
The soundtrack alone is worth the price of admission. Still have the original game, but no computer to run it on. DO have the soundtrack sitting on my iPod though!
