Simply the best wargame on computers. If you are into tabletop gaming, then this is what you want. I bought it when it first came out, and have been waiting for it to be put onto modern Windows systems. Ok, so the graphics are pre-rendering/polys etc, but they are representative of the period. They do have an advantage, in that they are purposely .bmp, so you can easily edit them (human skins are harder- think Sims 1). You get loads of mods in the pack straight off. You can easily put your house into it. All the sounds are .wav - so if you want to record your self swearing to replace the appropriate speech pack then you can. This isn't a 'collect resources and make units' with random men produced working together, and taking multiple hits. This is a realistic wargame, with men who think for themselves - tanks will ignore your orders to engage something that can't hurt them if they can see a bazooka or panzerfaust. Infantry take cover and stop firing if too much lead is thrown their way. EVERY infantry weapon is given combat power at different ranges, and as squads take casualties their firepower decreases. Ammo is counted, when your FO calls in fire support there is a delay, and when he shifts target there is a further delay while the guns recalculate. There is a whole system of 'blinds'- from 'There is something there' through to 'a vehicle?' - 'its a tank' - to type. Recce works- don't just rush in, have reserves. Real tactics work. It also supports 2 player by hot seat, Lan, internet and email. If you are a Miniatures gamer this is the game from you.
