Torment: Tides of Numenera

Unfairly judged game.

Most reviewers who rate this game below 4 stars, in my opinion, are simply angry because of broken promises the game developers have made. But take this game, put it on tabula rasa and you will see it is a pure gem. It has a very interesting story, great atmosphere and world design. The only flaw is the combat system, but you can avoid combat entirely anyway if you wish, so it's not like you are losing on much. So yeah, this game is really brilliant and everyone should try it. The only thing besides combat I didn't like is that the game developers are very sloppy at supporting the game. They released the game, a couple short updates and that's it. I don't know if they will release more but I think it's very bad they've not released another patch for over a year now... The game is still young and it could see much improvement. For this, I considered rating it 4 stars, but I stopped myself and again, looked at the game for what it is and it is definitely worth 5. I'm not rating the promises, the development abandonment or how this game looks besides Planescape Torment. I'm rating the game for what it is on by itself and it is a masterpiece.

Deus Ex Revision Mod

One of the worst mods I played

Choose original Deus Ex or one with GMDX mod. This is not worth it playing it even if it's free. They've changed too much of the coherent original game into out-of-place chaos. The original feel is gone. There are mods that add much more to the game while simultaneously enriching its feel. This Revision is just a disaster. Take a look at the original intro sequence versus this one, it reflects Revision very well. The original intro sequence portrayed the world situation very well, looked epic, serious and very intriguing. Revision revisioned the intro sequence to look out of place, hard to understand and casual. It's hard to even comprehend how they've managed to make it so bad without trying.

Lords of Magic: Special Edition

Brings good childhood memories

I played this game when I was a child and I found it very intriguing. I remember when I was little the game was too difficult to me and I could not really play it for more than a few turns without dying. Well, now that I installed and tried it again I can say I still find it intriguing! I think it is a very good compliment to the atmosphere of the game. The whole atmosphere is very well constructed, consistent and is unique in some ways. Overall the game is very enjoyable even to this day. It is really fun, but the only bad thing is that it gets boring quick after you begin to understand all the mechanics of the game and find the easiest ways to play every faction. This happens pretty quick, after a few hours in game. But it is still worth buying and playing. I mean, a couple dollars for ~10 hours of really good old fun and immersive gameplay - totally worth it. And I'm sure I'll play it again in the coming months since there are still fun things to try and again, the atmosphere is really good and immersive even after you get to know the game well.

Heroes of Might and Magic® 4: Complete

Favorite HMM

This is my favorite Heroes game of them all for a few major reasons: I really love the atmosphere! For me, this is the most atmospheric game of all the heroes game. In particular because it has be best sound track in my opinion. My favorite music track. Graphics are also somehow nice and not overcrowded and work well with the beautiful music Secondly, this is the only Heroes game where heroes themselves appear in combat as units. Not only this, but you can have several heroes (theorically up to 7 I think) in combat. Ofcourse, every hero in combat means a slot not taken by units. Usually 2 heroes in an army is the sweet spot. No other heroes game anything like this and I think it adds an additional level of tactics. Really love it.
