I played, and created maps and scenarios, with a severe obsession ever since its release. In my opinion, this is the single best wargame you can get. On any platform. Unfortunately, Windows Vista and most of all Windows 10 made this game impossible to play, and Battlefront never cared about continuing or updating this fascinating series. The new CM titles were never of any interest to me. Therefore I was overjoyed to see Combat Mission: Barbarossa to Berlin to be released on GOG. However, on my Windows 10 PC, infantry animations do not run at all, and most severely, I cannot start the second turn of any battle - the timer just keeps going and going and does not stop at 60 seconds. For one turn, I was in paradise, but it seems the days of paradise are irretrievably over.
