Genesis Alpha One Deluxe Edition

Great Ideas But Lacking

The game isnt bad its just feels a bit empty dont get me wrong its worth a try but late game can become too much repetitive and annoying. For example the bugs follow you all the way to your ship you need to kill them can be hard to track sometimes you can put a turret but theres no permanent solution like it would've been nice if they introduce a pest control unit or machine of some sort because killing them manually is just not fun there are a few tricks you can find online on youtube have them in one place but still you have to get rid of them. The combat is okayish does feel a little clunky. But its the basebuilding and crew management its where this game shines you can assign roles build levels design layout of your entire base so yeah its fun in that regard.

Othercide

Interesting Concept

As someone who played loads of turn based tactics games like X-COM 2 , Mutant Year Zero, Darkest Dungeon, Into The Breach, Battletech and Invisible Inc of which the game takes some of its inspiration from, overall not a bad game. But its not meant for anyone because its also a roguelike game meaning death is inevitable yes you will die regardless how good of a decision maker you are if you played roguelikes before you know it's part of the difficulty, I saw reviews where people were complaining about originally you couldn't heal your characters unless you sacrifice one of them I see how the devs responded to that by introducing Dream mode but you can always resurrect your fallen troops doing some missions although I recommend trying nightmare first. The game can be repetitive but thats why you have seeds I am sure some of them online they dictate how difficult the game will be for you from start to finish. As far as the story goes it's alright, it's gritty and gloomy as its gets but thats part of games vibe I mean it is a gothic-themed game you wouldn't expect a clown to pop out screen do tricks would you. Furthermore the art is great regardless its all red, black, and white, the combat is deep enough for you to be entertained for hours as there are a lot of traits to be found and things to be unlocked as you level up. The maps and enemy variety is somehwhat limited but theres a lot of ground for experimentation just play around with abilities and skills also you will still retain some of the stuff you lost in your last run. As I said before death is encouraged in this game as you learn to be better the next time you play so theres replay value in that. Overall Othercide is a beautiful chess piece you can give it a try and getting on GOG you will have more than enough time to know whether its worth it for you or not.

Orbital Bullet – The 360° Rogue-lite

A Fun Cylindrical Roguelike Platformer

It is a fun game with interesting layout if you don't mind the circular path sidescroller. Other than that ton of guns, a good variety of enemies and as mention procedural generation adds in a lot of replayability. I personally like it reminds of the good old Mario games you can jump on enemies too to kill them, and at the same time shoot them for me its a great mix. Furthermore different weapons give you some strategic advantages at certain stages of the game whether you want to hit them upfront or far away. You can dash and double jump by default but theres a lot of powerups that act as modifiers for example you can get triple jump. Overall I would recommend for anyone who's is looking for something out of the ordinary at its price or on sale its definitely worth a play.

Invisible Inc.

Stealth XCOM

But its more than that I have to admit at first I thought the game was a little boring but as you dive in theres a lot of possibilities with interesting game mechanics. The regeneration of maps adds interesting level of complexity overall its an interesting spy roguelike game with possible infinite amount of replayability highly recommend buying it with the dlc.
