Arguably, the older KOF titles remain superior for veterans like me due to their tighter controls and deeper mechanics. That said, The King of Fighters XIV doesn’t abandon these qualities it simply offers a more accessible experience for players less familiar with the series’ complex combo systems which is still deep enough in this version as well. My only real complaint is the auto-combo feature: spamming light attacks can trigger it but still, it’s clearly designed to help newcomers learn the basics or just enjoy casual play. With 58 playable characters if you include the two DLC packs that add four fighters each, plus extra costumes the roster already provides tremendous replay value. Although the graphics are a mixed bag for some, but I personally appreciate the detailed character models compared to the newer cell-shaded style. It delivers a distinct vibe that feels fresh yet faithful. The soundtrack and stage design also stand out, adding energy and atmosphere to every match. Overall, if you’re looking for a fun entry point into the KOF series, XIV is a great place to start. The tutorial is straightforward enough to get beginners comfortable, while the wealth of characters and modes such as Time Attack, Survival, Trials and Story modes ensure there’s plenty to master and it should keep you busy while having fun at the same time.

For me it's a kind of like an interactive boardgame with retro style graphics which are great btw. I can see myself coming back to this game for short sessions during work, It's one of those game that is easy pick off where you left. Thanks to its simple mechanics and premise you just out there looking for a golden pyramid. But the game gives you plenty side objectives or encounters you can choose to engage or avoid completely. Overall, not a bad game if you are looking to kill some time but can be still fun for hours on end.

I had to clean my glasses for this one, I mean I can’t believe one of my favorite games is now mine to own forever. The best part is, I haven’t even finished it yet; I originally had it on Steam. But I’m so excited to play it on GOG this weekend. Honestly, I can’t express in mere words just how happy I am :D

As a veteran turn-based player the game is something getting used to, but once you have figured out everything it is quite fun. This is a more combat oriented game compare to all of the other 4X strategies I have played so far to name a few but not limited to, Civlization, Stellaris, Songs of Conquest and many others. So if you want a relatively fast paced combat heavy turn-based strategy 4X game based in a scifi setting, then this game is no brainer.

For HOMMlike game this is incredibly fun autobattler, although you do have some control over their movement you can make them retreat, charge, group or reposition them but most of the time they will be doing their own thing. You have spells you can cast while the battles are real time the rest of the game is turn-based. I recommend playing on easier difficulty and work your way up. With a lot of content regarding factions and units etc it is a bit goofy but a great game.

This is an interesting take on the usual light arcade casual games. Instead of shooting down your enemies you are required to avoid them completely by dodging. It may sound not appealing that is part of the fun and intuitive on its own in my opinion. It's like it works like a puzzle game where you have pay attention use the opportunity when it rises to either trick your enemies friendly fire each other or dodge. At the same time need to keep an eye out for those containers. So there's some strategy involve in all of that, which will keep you engaged for hours on end.

This is a good introduction to those who want to know if flight simulators are really their cup of tea. But at the same time it is also a very fun game even in arcade mode. I won't say much about the graphics they still hold up even by todays standards and the music score is great. Although getting right controls can be a challenge but thankfully the game supports quite a number of devices and you can modify the key bindings etc. I personally play it on a PS4 controller with DS4 Windows software that disguises it as a Xbox 360 controlller. But in order for the game to recognize it you will have to go to control settings where it says device and choose the gamepad layout.
