Epic music, alluring art and conveniently placed tablets of Ancient Greek Poetry make a memorable and encompassing atmosphere; BUT, the gameplay is fundamentally flawed. Especially on "Champion" difficulty, its almost impossible to avoid being hit thanks to poor gameplay mechanics. Don't get me wrong, its not a bad game over-all, but even simple melee attacks have been subjected to an unnecessary 360 degree system which will make combat more a matter of luck than skill in boss battles and tight arenas. Your character's walking speed is ridiculously temperamental, requiring multiple tries to make a simple jump from one platform to another. Weapons vary in size, range, speed and damage, yet the choices are provided more to accommodate different fighting styles rather than strategizing. Certain enemies can only be defeated by specific weapons, but most levels can be beaten by a simple sword. Boss battles are challenging and memorable, but I don't recommend fighting them on the Champion difficulty, since the game lacks the precision needed for such demanding fights. Though I have criticized the game to a large extent, I believe its a great game for new gamers, but no hardcore gamer will tolerate a game that'll punish you for its poorly calibrated mechanics.
