I already played Mad Max on Steam, and absolutley loved it. Yet I refunded it, because that Version suffered from Performance Issues due to the inclusion of Denuvo/WBPlay/ Steam Cloud Saving(?). The GOG Game on the other Hand runs complete flawless on max. Settings; and it has to be mentioned that it is well optimized in general. So I am very happy now that I can enjoy this criminally underrated gem (The Price of 5 Euros at during the Spring Sale is a steal!). Keep up the good work GOG !
Back in the old Days, when 3D Shooters were not the COD Mumbo Jumbo were having today; back then when you had a satisfying Singleplayer Mode, a fascinating Level Design and beautiful Levelsoundtrack, too. This all can be said for Unreal, which kickstarted a new era for Shooters, and which is basically the Ancestor for later Shooters like Deus Ex. A can easily say, that Unreal is still enjoyable in 2019 despite the old Graphics (You can download High-Res Textures if you want); the controls are very easy, but the dodging (can be enabled/disabled) takes some practice. Bear in Mind, that the Levels are non Linear, so newcomers might need a Walkthrough if the get lost. Be Sure to download the latest Oldunreal 227 Patch, if features a lot of Improvements for modern PCs, like 16:9 Support and D3D9 Renderer.
