Chicken Assassin: Reloaded

Clicker - don't consider it a game

I don't consider clickers as games. Wouldn't play it again even for free.

Arise: A Simple Story

Beautiful game with gameplay issues

It's a nice game with fine art and music, but the lack of free camera movement is annoting, considering the goal of the game being finding memories. The lack of free camera is probably to ensure the the views as the director intended without enough consideration for the player experience. Too bad it's not good enough for a game, because the art is really pleasant.

Songs of Conquest

It lacks fun and challenge but not bad

Even on medium difficulty the challenge is small. The AI is dumb, and the spell system on one nahd is interesting, on the other one to complicated to easily navigate and plan ahead also the graphics can be confusing when You miss something and later You want to claim it, but need to waste a round in the process. A bigger battlefield would be nice. However the game has a few fun ideas (spell system, economy, building mechanics) and hopefully there will be a second part where it gets fixed and become a better successor to HoM&M.

Trek to Yomi

Very pretty and good

4,5 As in gameplay it's nothing original, but it does what it was supposed to in a good, well thought way. The fights can be challenging in the medium difficulty. The main strenght is the Japanese vibe (mainly the Kurosawa-like black and white movie story) and well described shinto mythology. The camera positioning often gives a nice movie-like panorama, which almost never is a part of the gameplay - sometimes only found in the cutscenes in other games. Not sure, if the non-Japan-geeks will enjoy and appreciate it in the same way.

Inscryption

Exceptional

The idea and atmosphere are great. Played only 2-3h so far, but I see why the game has such good reviews. If You like this sort of card games, I definitely recommend it.

Opus Magnum

Nicely done done programming/logic game

Fun idea for a logic/programming game. Doesn't teach the programming concepts, but trains the logic and scripting way of thinking.

Ludus Mortis

I give it a 3, but feel like it's a 2

The story is not interesting, Unless I didn't get the right idea about how to play this game, it will require gring and not interesting repetitivness. Also, considering next-to-none animations, the game feels very poorly optimised. Also it would be better, if the latin names of the enemy's skills had also a translation, so You'd get the idea of what to expect from them. Maybe, if I'd had the time, I'd enjoy it more, but I don't have it for not good enough games anymore. On the other hand - the art is cool and atmosphere is ok, but there's little change after several hours I played the game - maybe later it becomes more interesting.

Black Book

Gameplay ok, but the folklore is awesome

The gameplay is above average, but what makes this game special is the story based around the slavic folklore. The lack of translation of the spoken parts on 1 side makes You read , since 99% of the world doesn't speak Russian or whatever the language is, on the other hand probably was kept this way to make it a more authentic feel.

Great game, but a little short

The gameplay is rather simple, but with nice puzzles, great art style and distopian atmosphere, yet there's no direct storytelling and if You don't get something, You need to check out the internet later. Still, love it.

A loveable casual game

It's a great game to spend time with. Don't expect any action, but it's fun to figure out how to place Your tiles best and there seems to be a ton of stuff to unlock.
