Interesting mechanics, but unplayable

* The saving system does not work: while you have frequent checkpoints throughout the game, once you quit, all the progress will be lost forcing you to start from scratch on next game launch. You will just replay the same first 'chapter' until you get bored and remove this piece of game forever. * The graphics is also quite buggy: glitches, blinking, sometimes the while screen become black (it's best combined with the saving system bug noted above). Telling in advance: no, my graphics card is all right. This thing should not be purchased, at least, not until developers fix it. One extra star for an interesting graphics design, but programmers has ruined it completely.

Oddworld: New ’n’ Tasty

XBox 360 controller does not work.

Raw, buggy product, doesn't worth it's price. I'm working with XBox 360 controller and I can't do 'chanting'. Controls specified are just ignored. Settings page tells me it's LT+RT, but the game reacts on RT only making "Follow me" instead of 'chanting'. Thus I can't interact with birds and continue. There's a lot of such complaints across the Internet. 1 star as game's main functions do not work on the officially supported platform (Linux Mint 17).

An overcomplicated replica

This game is almost exact copy of Limbo (movement, colourless foreground) and Nihilumbra (music and colourful background style), but it's too complicated. You will die. And then you will die again. And again. After two first chapters enemies will be everywhere. They're in the sky, they're in the ground, they're running towards you and they're shooting. They predict your trajectory so jumping's not helping, you will just die. It's all right for a dynamic game like Capsized to be filled with enemies (with appropriate weapons held you can get through it), but this game leaves you no weapon, you're just a bit of fur born to die again and again. The idea of such meditative simplified scrollers is to relax and enjoy visuals and music. An excessive complexity drops all this meditation away leaving us with a mean no-weapons shooter. I wouldn't recommend buying it.

Buggy and DRM-full

You can't share the game with your family as it requires you to log into an online account to play online. Those restrictions are definitely not what the "DRM-free" term means. The server does not work as expected ("Error code: bad user" is a hell of an informative registration error message). So you might not be able to play this even if you agree to your rights restriction. I'm so pissed I've blacklisted both developer and publisher of this filthy piece of game. Good luck fooling other people around, guys. My 30 days refund period is far over, yours may be not. Do not make the same mistake I did, do not buy this "game" by whatever reason possible. Hope I'd read this before giving them my money.

Interesting, but imperfect

This game is surprisingly fresh and nice, but there's a couple of gameplay misses which break the fun. Still, it worth the price and it totally worth an examination. Pros: * Fresh and involving gameplay: simple mechanics covers hours of an arcade battles, trading and questing. You can carry goods, passengers (even drunken ones!), besiege towns, lighthouses and outposts, seize territories, fight pirates, hire mates and even bomb your very own way through the island! * Nice graphics, simple, but pleasant. * Good multiplayer options. * GNU/Linux support. Cons: * Weird interterritorial movements: once you reached the edge of a map, you will be transferred to the neighbour territory while all your active quests will be failed. No warning, you'll just loose everything. * Weird saving mechanics. Game saves progress itself during the gameplay and on exit, but it may exit without a warning during so-called 'Instance' event loosing all your progress (it might take an hour to complete an instance).
