I really enjoyed playing Capsized. The graphics are really well inspired and, I think, should never get old. The gameplay is sometimes a little bit messy, but nothing terrible. It was an overall great experience and I can only recommend it. I didn't try the coop mode, but it is probably a big plus.

This sequel focuses more on the FPS side of the franchise, and much less on the horror one. To be more precise, they removed most of the creepy/sick, keeping only the jumpscares… Quite a shame, if you ask me. The game remains enjoyable. On the plus side, the gameplay is smoother and the graphics are more polished. But on the other hand, the ambiance isn't so great and the game is shorter. And the story? I don't even remember what it was about.

Don't be fooled by the title or some trailers: F.E.A.R. is a pure FPS game. Besides its smooth and enjoyable gameplay, a lot of (well-made) scripting add some elements directly inspired from classical horror movies (you know, the little girl with superpowers) and a few physical mindfucks (those you could also find in Antichamber). The story is not exceptional, but the ambiance easily palliates that. The two extensions are follow-ups to the main story, and add some time to the already quite long game experience. At this price, I can only recommend it if you like FPSs and are not against some jumpscares from time to time.

Very beautiful mix of a first-person puzzler and a contemplative game. But I recommend mainly to patient players, as some puzzles will require you to walk, search and think a lot. This makes some parts a bit frustrating, especially when you have no clue what to do. The game is also quite short. Now that you are warned, know that it's still enjoyable, and for a decent price.

I was secretly expecting this great game on GoG, but the porting was disappointing for me. The game itself is (once again) great and feels really immersive. You have two intricated gameplays: the narrative part where you discuss with people, look for jobs and repair/upgrade your ship; and the action part where you accomplish your missions by following objectives that mostly consist in shooting enemies down. The narration part is great and you shouldn't always simply click through the dialogues. The fighting part is even better, although the interface is sometimes a little bit difficult to understand and you will have to get used to it. (Pressing “?” ingame brings a help screen with all you need.) Although it gets really difficult at the end (I never finished the game completely), at least up to that point you have a very fine game. Nevertheless, The GoG porting using DosBox was not great for me. The sound was buggy, with small interruptions every second in a way that gave me headaches. The game also crashed completely several times for no apparent reason (and there is no auto-save). But when I look at the comments, it seems that I was the only one experiencing this. Therefore I hope that, unlike me, you have the chance to get an optimal experience, because this game deserves it.

A great game with some geek humour and challenge. And a katana. What else could you want? It gets repetitive at the end, but I had a lot of fun finishing it twice. I think the different evolution trees really allow you to chose your way of playing. Finally, even if a bit outdated today, the graphics are still beautiful. I recommend it.
