The art style and graphics are great, inspired by H.R. Giger. But the gameplay is awful: walking takes a long time and the puzzles are bad and don't communicate what you're supposed to do. Like with person in the cocoon that you have to free with the seat on rails, that you cannot move...
Overall I really enjoyed Sable. The positives for me are the relaxing gameplay that emphasises exploration and puzzles and leaves out combat entirely. I can't confirm the bugs mentioned in other reviews, still the graphics seems to be unpolished (i.e. frew animation frames, grass not always on the ground, jumping shadow of the sun). + Unique art style + Open world exploration + Minimalistic design/gameplay + Relaxing atmosphere ~ Puzzles over Combat - Unpolished graphics (few animation frames, grass not on ground) - Wobbly hover bikes (the fast ones)
The last door has a creepy atmosphere with references to Lovecraft and Poe. The graphics is very suitable for the game, because it shows everything necessary and leaves the details for your imagination. Fortnately there is no difficult searching of items due to the low resolution. The background of the story is told through letters an some flashback scenes. But unfortunately the story does not realy clarify in the firs season. Due to the fact that the game is made of episodes, the puzzels are short and easy. Therefore the play time is relativley short and this is the only downside for me.
