This demo has been an amazing improvement compared to terrible playable teaser. The world looks much better, we do not have an annoying mc speaking to himself 24/7, polish version has good dubbing and I have not seen major or minor mistakes in translation, npc's are vulgar like they are supposed to be for prisoners. I have actually played the demo twice, once on Steam and once on GOG. On steam I fought with any animal enemy, spoke with whatever npc I met first. Than went to speak with Ratford and he basically did not want to speak with me at all, only spoke and sent me to Drax after finding dead body of their companion, I hunted and than went to speak with Kirgo last and he taught me some basic sword skills. On GOG I went first to meet with Kirgo and by Innos the fights were so much easier than before, next I went to Drax and finally to Ratford and dialogues were different! Hopefully it will stay that way in main game, we need to see choices and even turn in which we met certain NPC's matter. Also heard english dialogues had mistakes in how NPC's said Beliar and Khorinis and holy cow when I checked this out it was awful, that needs a fix. Biggest issue I had were NPC's and main character animations, they looked awful and need to be worked and when I hunted with Drax enemies went after me despite Drax being like 4m closer than I was (I used bow). Anyways, actually looking forward to it, good job.
Do not bother with negative reviews, they just do not like old games in general. Gothic has it's charm and issues (aren't all games like that nowadays?), it has incredible music, amazing story, multi-class/multi-guilds, weapon making, unique type of magic system (scrolls and runes) and much much more and keep in mind it is a game from 2005! Graphics are old, combat system is weird and clunky but millions of players loved it for immersive world, dialogues and main character. If you are still unsure if you should buy this game just wait for sale.

First of all I do not understand why so many people claim it doesn't work on Windows 10 when it works perfectly fine for me. Well maybe since 2020 something has been fixed. Introduction movies still are as awesome as I saw them years back. Graphics in battle looks old but it doesn't matter to me as the game is just as good. If you are one of those graphic matters type of people maybe you should try Total War with it's newer graphics instead. 5 stars for this one, it was one of the best strategy games I have played in early 2000. IIt really brings me back to my childhood days.
Well what can I say, I have played this game for ~124h on steam. It is interesting, has nice challenges and variety of game modes for PvE. However after you go through every story it just gets boring and repetitive, another issue I have with it is the fact that on some missions you need to protect PC controlled characters which let's be honest are dumb enough to go solo vs 6 enemies and so you will never be able to get achievement for protecting them. That said I had nice time with it, can recommend it to all 40k fans out there. Devs seem to have abandoned the game though, still I consider it was nice game worth my time.
