Galaxy of Pen and Paper +1

Excellent but flawed

This is an enjoyable addictive turn-based RPG game with a fun story. It is, however, slightly marred by the repetitiveness of the gameplay, the shallowness of the level up/skill system, and the fact that several things that are in the mobile version are inexplicably missing from this desktop version.

Planescape: Torment: Enhanced Edition

Crappy point-and-click wannabe

This game plays like they wanted to make a point and click adventure game but randomly decided at the last minute to add fighting to it at random points as well just to aggravate people who are invested in the story. And furthermore, it seems almost like they went out of their way to make this unnecessary fighting as shallow and non tactical as possible to make sure that neither people who like fighting games nor people who like D&D will enjoy it either.

Dungeons & Dragons: Krynn Series

Some of the best D&D computer games ever

These are some of the best D&D computer games ever made, beaten out only by Temple of Elemental Evil. These turn-based adventures set in the Dragonlance setting are among only a few D&D computer games not tarnished by either realtime combat or the Forgotten Realms. Their only flaw is their dated graphics and controls.

Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition

Overrated and very poor design choices

Baldur's Gate 2 is a potentially good game which is entirely ruined by its unplayably bad combat system and its disastrous decision to try (and fail) to implement D&D as a real-time game, as well as its choice of the pretentious and self-important Forgotten Realms campaign setting.

The Temple of Elemental Evil

Definitely the best D&D game ever made

This is one of only a few D&D computer games I've ever played that was actually D&D and not some garbage point-and-click adventure game like Planescape Torment. It is the first (and last) D&D computer game since the the Gold Box games of the early 1990's to stay true to both the rules of the game as well as the published setting and the only computer game to use the third edition rules (Earlier games like Dark Queen of Krynn use the second edition rules, Baldur's Gate, Icewind Dale, and Neverwinter Nights use strange variant rules made up solely for those games, and Planescape:Torment and Dragonshard don't use the rules of D&D at all). Additionally it has a better choice of campaign setting than most D&D games, being set in the fun and interesting World Of Greyhawk campaign setting rather than the tediously pretentious Forgotten Realms setting of Baldur's Gate, Neverwinter Nights, and Treasures of the Savage Frontier. I highly recommend it.

Neverwinter Nights: Enhanced Edition

More overrated realtime trash

I don't know what the heck this is but it isn't D&D because D&D uses turnbased combat.

Enter the Gungeon

Good concept questionable execution

This game is fun but is badly marred by the combination of severely limited access to the many wacky guns promised by the description combined with lack of variety and the hackneyed and outmoded design choice of not letting you save whenever you want. Playing basically the same level over and over again gets old very quickly
