Say No! More

Deliciously fun!

Say No! More is perhaps the most creative and funny game I've played in a while. Right away it caught me for the visuals that are that square 3d with super colorful textures and expressive faces in the same vibe as games like Megaman Legends, Threads of fate and Dr. Slump on PS1 (I don't know why they don't make more games like this), but in addition to the mega charming and funny look it has a very simple but very genius premise: you are a newbie in a company where employees are forced to say yes to all kinds of exploitation and after having your lunch lady stolen by your supervisor the protagonist finds a walkman with a motivational k7 that teaches him to say NO in several ways (and it is possible to choose the language in which you will speak, It looks sensational in Japanese if you like anime) and from there begins a day full of madness where the character goes to the last consequences to recover his lunch and also overthrow the totalitarian and cruel system in which the corporation is based. The gameplay consists of walking (automatically, like in a rail shooter), pressing the space key madly to say no to everything and bumping into every kind of absurdity that such a joke can generate, bringing to the background a message of self-love at the end. Very good!

Silent Hill 4: The Room

Not the best but still a great SH

Silent Hill 4 isn't a favorite of most longtime fans of the series, more because of the changes in gameplay and structure than the game itself, which still retains much of the original vibe. The best part of it is the concept of the protagonist trapped inside his own apartment and forced to explore what seem to be nightmares through a hole in the bathroom. The plot is very sinister and holds attention. Unfortunately the fights that were never good in the series are the worst part in this one. Henry is very slow, facing every enemy that appears only results in a waste of time and hp, because the unpublished ghosts only die if they use very rare items. The port is running smooth, I just wonder when they will bring the ports of SH 2 and 3 here on GoG (and who knows an unreleased port of the wonderful original SH)
