Strange Antiquities

Better, more, lots of puzzle fun

You can feel the devs have learned from making the first game. The game feels a little bigger, the characters sound a little more distinct (although not much), there's more to explore, more lore, lots of items to identify and without losing the feel of the first game. Identifying some of the antiques is sometimes a little devious but that's what I want in a puzzle game, if the dev doesn't know how to trick me a little it's no fun. Puzzles are fair - I haven't encountered solutions that aren't the most logical given the available information. All in all I had lots of fun.

Duck Detective: The Ghost of Glamping

Still a very fun(ny) Obra Dinn-lite

Short but good, evidence might sometimes escape you but it is there. A bit longer and meatier than the first game. Charming characters and lots of drama while still keeping it light-hearted and funny. They even improved on the quack button! Sometimes the notebook seems omniscient because the scenario isn't complex enough to really rule out another interpretation, but that's just part of getting the style of the game and the devs. Don't overthink this game.

Her Story

Neat mystery tale, no handholding

Only for people who think a video game about combing through files sounds (potentially) fun, but there is also a tragic story in here and a real crime-mystery to understand. It will also not tell you what to search for, except for a straightforward suggestion in the beginning to get the ball rolling.
