Sniper Ghost Warrior 3

Good classic sniper fun.

This is a good old classic sniper game. Gameplay is pretty simple but effective and straightforward, no surprises here. This is 8 years old, but it still holds itself graphically. The advantage is that it is not too taxing on your GPU. It is a little repetitive, but you can bypass the random encounters/missions on the map and focus on the main story. Overall a nice game that is pretty rewarding in the hard level. You have to take into account wind amount, distance, by tuning your scope and prepare your shots in order not to kick the bees' nest! With a nice discount it's a no-brainer.

Cyberpunk 2077

Excellent game!

The development of this game was long, the launch was chaotic, but when you see it know, at least you understand why... The amount of detail and the richness of the environments is just stunning, and the story is quite good and original I think. You will need a quite powerful machine to play it in good conditions, but with all the patches, it now works quite well even on middle range PCs. On a 7900 XTX with AMD's new AFMF2, you can reach 120 FPS on an UWQHD monitor, that's 3440x1440 pixels. And with Raytracing enabled for reflections and all... It also ran pretty well on my previous video card, an Asus RTX 3080 ROG Strix 10 GB If you haven't played it yet, wait for a discount, and give it a try. IMHO, it's really worth it!

Oldie not so glodie...

Back in the day, when I started playing it, this was state of the art graphics and gameplay, but unlike some other games from this era, this one clearly feels and looks its age. You might enjoy this for nostalgia, or to peek at what it looked like for younger player, but don't expect to play a COD or any modern FPS. Gameplay is basic, graphics are... basic, to say the least (remember, this was pre-3D cards era...). Man, look at the size of this game: a whopping 200 MB! Well, that's about it, have fun!

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Complete Edition

A true masterpiece!

I started fiddling with computers back in the early 80's on a copy, shame on me, of an Apple II+ my father built, yes, it was possible in those days! I have played *a lot* of games on different platforms, but with the power personal computers can harness these days, we've come a long way indeed! I played D&D games, RPGs, action etc, but none gives me a sense of fullness or immersion like The Witcher III, it almost seems it's a real world, real characters, real landscape, real everything. The story is immensely immersive and keeps you wanting to carry on the adventure to discover what's around the bend! I'm not overdoing it here, this game is truly a masterpiece few developers can claim to have achieved! Only one piece of advice: try it, you won't, you can't be disappointed!
