This game was review bombed. It is still a very positive reviewed game minus the bomb. Outside of the bombing, the standards that this game is being held to is much higher than other NSFW games and this is the result of the attempt to bring quality work to a game that would normally just be a fap. Compare how it is being reviewed to other NSFW games and you will see what I mean. A definite step in the right direction for the sci-fi NSFW genre. Did I mention this is on the list of early access games that actually finished the product? That alone deserves some support. I'm not just saying because I am a Demi fan. :D I said this on Steam and I plan on purchasing it here as well to support them and GOG
Ok yes it was fun, and that is the point of the game. It was however, awful. Everything felt staged, and almost as if it was making fun of the genre. Come to think of it, was this game supposed to be a spoof, and I missed the memo?
When 3DO went under and sold it's stuff to UBIsoft, they released 2 games. MM9, and Homm4. Homm4 while different form other homms is still a great game. MM9 on the other hand is soo bad That I refuse to acknolwedge it as part of the series and consider my MIght and Magic collection complete without it! There are a number of reasons why. Far too much of this games style was sacrificed for a poorly implemented 3d version. The perfected paperdoll used in MM6-8 was discarded for a paperdoll system that has been in place since the amiga! And the game just simply lacked the charm to be expected of a might and magic game! For lore lovers not all is lost, there is nothing learned in this game that you can not learn in Homm4, as it takes place after MM9 and refers to its events.
This is a very stylish and fun game to play. The factoids between turns is every bit as good as the game itself. A sequel to this would be a dream come true for me. 5.5 stars out of 5.
