Nox™

Still Holds Up As A Decent Game

Main menu is a bit choppy if the graphics are cranked, once the game is running, no problems or issues of any kind. I own the CD Media version from back in the day, It's beside me right now and can say I haven't run into anything different, It's fully patched and runs WAY better now on a " today's rig " than with my Voodoo 3 2000 did on ME . Does the playability and storyline still hold up though? Going back in time to when It came out and right now, It's in the exact same spot. " not as good as Diablo II " It's a tough shadow to be in. You can see the pictures, there is no farming of any kind and a straight through storyline that you can play through. You can sell loot but stats are not changeable when leveling up. Spells are bought through stores and level up the same way Diablo 1 does. I like the game. It can be beaten over the weekend. My copy was on sale, Now I have a backup digital for a cheap price, It worked for me and I can play it on a Windows 10 computer with out messing around, Well, you know, other than opening the directory that it was installed to, right clicking on GAME.EXE and changing the compatibility options to run under Windows Millennium Edition and running as an Administrator. 99% of the gamers here have had to do that to almost everything they install that was made before Windows Vista.

Diablo + Hellfire

perfect

I didn't try the IPX emulation that comes with it, or the expansion from sierra, but 3 full playthroughs one with each character. No problems, no new bugs, everything feels just like it did in 1998 with a modem. If you have mouse setting speeds, probably going to put it to the lowest for the proper feel.

Slipstream

Fun Drifter

This game is quick, short and fun. Once you master drifting through an S turn and hitting a slipstream (8 minutes max) the game becomes EASY but that's ok. There are a few different modes of gameplay in both single player and 2-4 Couch co-op. PS4 controller support is nice as it feels tighter with a D-pad. No GOG achievements, No Online multiplayer and there is a bug with the slipstream mechanic where the opponent you are racing can accelerate with you on your own slipstream if they are on the screen and not ahead of your front bumper, that last one is the only challenge in the game. There is a hard mode if normal gets easy. I feel the strength in this game is 4 player couch co-op. You can spend 10 minutes or an hour. The fast moving road colour changes can mess with you, if there where a way to blend them more so it wasn't so contrast it would be more enjoyable. Very reminiscent of Sega games from CD→Saturn era of time. For a $12 game, 9/10 . Well done.

Vikings - Wolves of Midgard

Great Mindless Fun

Pretty, can play 2 players split-screen, Lots of game play on first play through Love the R-stick dodging. Not much point in a second play through as you can't share powers between gods :( If there was about 25% more upgrades or options I think all the level grinding and single god powers would pay off. Great buy, actual Diablo III killer.

Monster Train

Fun and solid

A lot to unlock, low system requirements, great type of game for your laptop. The different units and types of card fighting add a great mixup for what you choose to use. I find the very last boss on each covenant just a tiny bit to tough. An easy chart @ the end battle screen would be nice in multiplayer to see everyone's times for rounds and what not.
