The mod starts really strong, combining the aesthetics of Quake 1 and 2, both monsters AND levels. Unfortunately during the second half of the campaign the mod shifts level design to be more akin to the first Quake. Leaving no room to Strogg stuff. This mod tries to be a continuation of Call of the Machine episode (which i can't stop goshing about even tho i haven't played it in a very long time), and if you try to be a sequel to that then you really need to do something more than new fancy enemies
If you are looking for a good survival game then you should try it out. If you are looking for an actual Stalker game then you should look for different mods. Yeah sure, original Stalker games had some survival elements but they were more minimalistic so people just could jump straight into the Zone and enjoy its vibes. But i guess these people are not the target group of the mod. I guess to each their own. Good thing is this fangame is very moddable so you can change everything to your liking (i personally recommend Old World Addon for Anomaly to everyone wanting a more classic experience). If you want a decent alternative i recommend the IWP which is a standalone free-roam mod in simillar vein to Anomaly, but balances the core Stalker experience and survival elements much better in my personal opinion. It's still harder than originals but not as unforgiving as Anomaly (or Gamma mod pack)
I install the mod, launch it, see the mod's menu and intro. But then it kicks me to the vanilla Fallout 4 character creation screen, and when i finish creating the character it just infinitely loads. Removing all data from base game didn't help and adding the plugins.txt file didn't help either. I want to experience the mod hassle-free but unfortunately i can't.
Let me get this straight.... by far it's the most annoying yakuza game i've ever played. Combat is sluggish and enemies block all the time. Yes there are ways to cheese it but not at the very beginning of the game As for the story... it doesn't seem interesting at all. I guess you could even skip all of it completly As for the graphics... i don't care. As far as i know i am hitting a thug and not a big mess of polygons, i am fine with it. Either wait for Kiwami 3 (which probably won't happen) or just don't bother with this game
