The game is unplayable. It's been around for over a decade, has a ton of DLCs, and devs never said a word about the persistent crash that's been happening forever and was never fixed. It crashes after a few minutes after launched. I alrdy used -d3d9 parameter, deleted save, disabled Galaxy features, disabled fullscreen, and of course validated files. Itś not save file, because I left it running on home screen and it crashes there. I created new game and it crashes before 1st save is crated. It's a internal bug, dev has no idea what causes it and doesn´t care. They got their money and went away.
This is not blatantly said. Dragon Ages Origins is *the* best RPG ever made, alongside Oblivion, and without the bugs. The lore is astonishing, the plot is awesome, characters are captivating, gameplay is fun. There are tons of incredibly made moments that make me cry. I deeply wished they´d make Dragon Age Origins 2 with the sequel of the companions, following our choices. It was never made and sadly now Bioware became a political entity that makes political marketing in interactive format. You gotta play it, u gotta experience it, u gotta cry watching it.
So far I had been disappointed. I had played 5h, idk how long season 1 is. Store page description implies a lot of interactivity: focusing on some of many available girls implies we'd have multiple routes, wandering implies freedom, minigames implies challenge. But till now it had been almost a kinectic VN. There were a couple options that seemed routes, but regardless of the event we choose, later when we finish it we're forced to do the other, so we only choose the order they'll be done. I had a couple of wandering on the house MC lives, but there's a unique objective on one of the rooms and the others were locked or I could get inside for nothing. On the university, I couldn't choose what to do even once, MC goes by himself to each place and to meet each girl. Only minigame I had is working on the café, which is just being presented to 3 products then remember them, and it was only the minigame introduction then going to it once. I had the option to do to job or go sleep, and I have nothing to do with the money, I'm not even informed of how much money I have. During class introduction it's explained that houses compete for points, so obviously I was expecting to have a few APs on each day and have to choose what to do, some sort of resource or time management. But nothing like that, I'm unable to choose what to do at all, I just watch MC follow his schedule, he hasn't missed any class nor any appointment, nor had any chance to earn extra points. Almost all options I had was when interacting with the girls, and options are of flirting or not, accepting their move or not. So, it's either to watch the sex content or skip it, to get more intimate with the girl or not. There's no choice for one girl or another, either we watch the content we paid for and obviously wanna watch it or not. The only use on these choices is in case we don't like some of the girls and wanna avoid her, which gladly wasn't my case.
Careful on this title! I always priorize buying games on GOG and frequently refrain from buying games that are exclusive on Steam for hoping they'll later be released here. I did so for this game and bought it here in the past. But now I found that on Steam it has extra content thru paid DLC, which aren´t available on GOG! Now I'll have to buy it again on Steam so I can buy the extra content, because I can´t buy the DLCs without the main game. This information isn´t available anywhere on store page and now I can´t ask refund because It's been a lot of time I had bought it.
As game name implies, it requires a lot of grind. It's the type of game where girl character struggles a lot on a tough and melancholic life. Without spoiler, Ariel is kidnapped on her village and taken as slave and has to work on a "very profitable job" to earn money and buy her freedom so she can get back to her village. She has to work every day, she doesn't like the job but has to smile and treat well her customers so she earns money. That's a struggle to her and to us too because the small amount of content leads to becoming repetitive quickly. But the game still is small so it's not a huge burden to get to the end.
I was about to buy the game when I saw a review warning it's censored. I'm glad I found, I won't buy a censored game. On forum there's a thread with more details. We all know the discrimination that H games suffer from stores, which don't even have objective rules and reject selling games, but it's now very stablished that publishers publish restoration patches on their sites. Instead, they censored the game and added not warn on store page and made no patch, and had been silent about it. So yes, I'm not supporting such practice. If u'll license a game to censor it, then don't license and let some other company do a proper job.
This is simply the best Kagura game. It highly outperforms and is far from being a cheap quick developed game. Characters are very creatively made, gameplay is very fun for a RPGMaker game and the idea of brewing pots using collected semen isn't incredibly original but is almost unique among H games. Highly recommended! I wished Kagyura Games would turn to making fewer games and only games like this.
Season 1 was one of the best USA pre-rendered VN I had played. I waited with high expectation for season 2 to follow up the story. I understand the hell they passed by with the dubbing and, even though I disagree on their strategy to handle it, I'll accept it. I just decided to not buy the game until it was properly finished. Finally they managed to bring voices and also publish it on GOG, so of course I bought season 2 here, but this game is a huge disappointment. First, the good points. Characters are back, most voices are high quality, textures remain way above average quality and there are more animations now. But that's it for pro. The game constantly crashes during animations, it happens after 2nd or 3rd animation so we need to keep saving then executing the game again and loading to repeat last few scenes and advance a few more until it crashes again. Season 2 story is way worse than season 1. There's no interesting events at all and the cool time loop factor became boring. Only thing that happens in the whole game is MC looking for ways to have sex with the girls. All girls now have 1 dimensional personality, all of them just get in awe when they see MC's horse size penis and wanna play with it, there's no seduction or persuasion. In the same way, MC is has premature ejaculation and keeps cumming just after it starts, then he uses multiple day loops to "be prepared" to hold longer. It means that instead of talking to the girls to learn secrets about them and use those to seduce them, the game just makes each sex scene take multiple days, having each day go longer before MC cums again, while his objective is to last long enough to finally be able to reach penetration. As example, in Season 1 Ellie was a introverted cosplayer that was trying to meet new ppl. Now she does no cosplay and is always desperate to have sex with MC, and we need to spend multiple days on her unique scene because MC keeps cumming early.
This is easily one of the worst games I had ever played. I bought it on pre-release on Steam, it was the last game I had ever bought on pre-release. It has 20 resources, it implies to be a lot compared with most games that have 3 or 4, but half of those are built over raw ones. Battle system is a mess. We must spend resources to "buy" army, then we need to keep them fed as long as they're alive, regardless if they're idle or fighting. To feed the army, we need to assure the city where a unit is has enough food to feed all units stationed on it. When a unit travels the map, it's fed from the closest city. It's always the closest one, we can't choose which city feed them. So, when we band the army to attack, the border city must feed the whole army. That's a very challenging endeavor, we must enlist all our travelers to keep sending food to that city. If the feeding city goes out of food, the full army bound to that city just refuses to fight and goes back on map to that city. Regardless of the resources we spent "buying" them and how long we had spent food feeding them. Regardless of us having food on other cities, if we're unable to move food there. And they remain stationed on that city, they don't even accept going to a city with food! That's outrageous, the battle system is broken due to that. The game is so, but so bad, that on campaign, if we follow the strict instructions of the tutorial, we lose! That's the level of how broken the game is! Upon release, the publisher created a thread claiming they hear us and would fix the game. That was only to hold as many players as possible from refund. Because they just abandoned the game and never ever updated it, much less improved it! It's offensive they come back to working on it, not to fix, but to release it on another store! Stay away at all cost!
It's a good short game, I completed it in 7h. The story is simple but acceptable, a parody of the stressful work on a office, having to deal with bad peers and abusive superiors. Curiously, at firms it seemed to be a BDSM where MC would be subdued, gladly it turns to be the opposite. Gameplay is very weak, but as we're flooded with VNs sadly any gameplay is a must. Animations are still good, but I was expecting more. Nothing is voiced, they just recorded a few emotion-expressing sounds and repeat them on specific moments. I had the impression that all girls are voiced by the same person. Some animations seem to be video playback, most of them are ran realtime. Amount of polygons is good, but textures are very simple and there's a lot of failing colisions. The final boss is specially bad, her head is too big making her look like a doll. SFW scenes aren't animated, characters stay still with a position for each emotion. NSFW scenes are animated, but animations are a couple secs constantly repeating. At first the peer girls seemed good, but sadly there's no character development and each girl has only 1 animation. At least they didn't make the game grindy, so we don't have to waste time on repeated boredom.
