Anvil of Dawn

Hole-E-Crap ...

... cannot believe that I am playing this game, again after all these years. Amazing! My soul leaps with joy! TY GoG! Best thing - this is not a game you will beat in a day or two - you are going to play and enjoy this game for weeks! Tip: Explore and uncover every square inch of every map you encounter. There are things you will need to advance the game. Other than that - just enjoy one of the greatest RPGs of all time!

Bippity Bippity Boo!

Thank you GoG! Been waiting forever to replay this classic. Started it last night and am loving it even more than I thought I would. Like Egghebrecht's review, I still quote lines from the game to this day. One of my favorites - Flux: "I've always viewed a locked door as an invitation."

Challenge of the Five Realms

An RPG Gem

This game - wow - I loved this. I still have my original 3.5" disk version. I no longer have a floppy disk drive, but GoG just remedied that. Thank you! It is mostly in the vein of Ultima VI and VII, but, I think, the story is much richer and more rewarding. I also enjoyed how the world map would begin to disappear into the darkness if you didn't do things in a timely manner. Really created a sense of urgency. The character creation - a choice of, 'would you do this or that' scenario - is worth the admission price, alone. Recommended!

Realms of the Haunting

One of a Kind

If ever a game was due for a remake, this is the one. I would LOVE to see this game remade to optimize today's graphics cards and other system specs In the meantime, I'll keep loving it the way it is, for it's story and FMV.

The Legend of Kyrandia: Malcolm's Revenge (Book Three)

Just ... Weird

LoK: MR is the final episode in the Kyrandia series and it is quite a departure from the previous titles. In a word, it's odd. Plus, quite tedious in more than one or two places. Still, I have added it to my GoG shelf, and will poke at it from time to time, because I wanted to own the entire trilogy. I'll play it for the nostalgia, but that's about the only reason I can recommend it.

The Legend of Kyrandia (Book One)

Worthy of GoG

Thank you for allowing me to replay this classic adventure title - one of my all time favorites. Hope Kyrandia II will follow shortly. Trivia - the voice of Brandon is that of Westwood employee Joe Kucan who later played the live-actor role of Kane in the Command & Conquer series. =)

Thunderscape

Gonna Have to Pass

Yes, I do remember this title and bought the hype back in it's day. Major disappointment - graphically, gameplay, et al. Recommend a pass on this one, but that's just MHO.

Severance: Blade of Darkness

Classic Good Fun

It's too bad the dark photos above were chosen to represent this game because some of the locales are truly beautiful, particularly the outdoor campaigns. Regardless, this game is great fun with rewarding combat, interesting world puzzles and a cool storyline that keeps you going forward.

Clive Barker's Undying

Scary? Yes ...

... this is the only PC 'horror' genre game that genuinely made me jump. But, I'm not going to give those 'jumps' away. Play it ... you'll see. =) Recommended!
