Jagged Alliance 2 is one of the greatest games ever made. Ever, no joke. It's a complex turn-based tactical squad game, with incredible depth, _hundreds_ of memorable characters, and a plethora of items and weapons to suit whatever playstyle you choose. If you like strategy games and have not played Jagged Alliance 2, your have a hole in your education a mile wide. Now get the latest v1.13 patch, and multiply all that by a million.
Or the 2004 version. They are both better than this version (Pirates! Gold), which was sort of an attempt to revive the original with a few extra features, but overall was not as much fun. It has some glitches/bugs that aren't fatal but are definitely annoying, and it has no new features over the 1988 version that the 2004 remake didn't do MUCH better. Even the original, with its simplicity, is a far greater classic than this one. Still, it's playable, and rather pretty for its age.
