Unrest

Don't buy this

I could repeat what I've said about the special edition but instead I'll just say two things... First, this version of the game is even less interesting than the special edition, and I think the special edition should be free to play on Kongregate (some games on that site are much better than Unrest, and much longer, and they are free to play) Second, what the hell is that thing doing on GOG? It's neither good nor old, why bring unknown games on GOG? We have over 20 years of Good old games to go through (not counting those that appeared in the last few years, not old enough) and they put that thing? Sure, it's much better than 1849 (or whatever it's called, a piece of junk that should never have been added on GOG), but it's still not a good and even less old game. Please, GOG, stick to GOOD OLD GAMES! Let Steam get stuck with crappy or very ordinary games instead of you and keep your money to buy licenses of GOOD and OLD GAMES... otherwise, might as well change your name to STEAM B... :(

Unrest Special Edition

Don't buy this

Unusual but nice looks to the game. Story is extremely short, even if you save everyone. Not much worth in replaying, even to see other storyline so short and with the abrupt dry endings they have made. No quick travel or running stretches the game uselessly, and it's annoying. Tiny game world, few maps, few locations to visit, few things to do. Everything seems to be forced upon you, you have no freedom of choice except maybe in some conversations. Linear in terms of movement. It's on GOG and it still has some bugs (random crashes, visual bugs, etc.). Looks like an amateur's game that should go on Kongregate than here on GOG. Speaking of which, why is this on GOG in the first place? It's neither old nor good. Would be nice if you could leave the junk and ordinary games to Steam and other site like that. Game is extremely short, and should be free on the web to play, and certainly NOT 10$+ to buy... not even worth 5$. I mean, 25$ for 2 to 3 hours of gameplay when I can get Skyrim for less? COME ON! This is game ain't worth a penny! Really, don't buy this! Get NWN, Baldur's Gate EE, or something else, but not this!

Shadowrun: Dragonfall

Better than first campaign

Better than the first 5 min ultra-linear campaign that they made with the game (LAME!) It still feels linear and much like the original campaign... a bunch of combat arenas with no role-playing in it (No shadowrunning at all!). Feels like playing a turn-by-turn diablo with a spirit world (data world). I don't recommend buying the original game, if you are part of those who got screwed with the game, buy this at the lowest price possible... these guys are not worthy of any of our money.

Shadowrun Returns

2.4 millions for this?

Hi! Just want to say not to buy this game. It's not worth more than 5$, and 99% of that 5$ goes to FASA, because the game designers did nothing in this game. The game lacks animations (example: Thrusts are executed as swings), creativity, depth and replayability. No matter what choices you take, it's the same story over and over. Also, for 2.4 millions of dollars, I think you can do a much better game... just look on Kongregate (or Pre-Paradox Mount and Blade for example) they have much better games that haven't cost much to make (no more than a few hundreds or thousands) and I am not talking about crappy MMOs here. Finally, this game is just a bunch of successive combat arenas. IT IS FAR FROM A ROLE-PLAYING GAME!!! No role-play in this game, just combat. It's basically an arena game with a story. BORING!

Braveland

An okay game but...

The game is really repetitive. Not much variety. Depth is superficial. Graphics are dated. Game design is common. Bottom line... this game should be a free on Kongregate to play... or some other site like that.

Lionheart: Legacy of the Crusader

Okay game

The first part of the game is really great... Lots of things to do, many people to talk to, intrigue, puzzles, original ideas, etc. But the second part of the game, when you leave the big city, is rather dull and repetitive unfortunately. If the designers would have put as much time in the second part of the game as in the first part, or just make a really good game like those who made Arcanum, then we would have a game worth at least four stars on GOG... I think it's worth only 3 stars... I have the original hard copy release, I got it at a low price, and I was and still am content with that low price... Also, I think GOG's price is more than fair for such a game.

Total Annihilation: Kingdoms + Iron Plague

Not the worse game ever

It's playable, but far from the fun I had with Total Annihilation. I prefer that one over Kingdoms... I think the original game is much better in every way. This game was just release because of the fantasy trend at the time to make a quick buck. :(
