ROGUE-FP

Well worth the price

As any fan of Roguelikes know most of the best of them are free, so when new ones with way less to them feature and especially content wise (specifically monster/weapon/armour/accessory/etc counts/variety and lacking in cool loot systems like randarts and such)come around and daring to want money for the experience it can be hard to really want them. I mean, you could buy something overpriced and wrong like Barony (eww btw imo, don't like that one), or you could play something like DCSS, Frogcomposband, IVAN, or the endless SlashemExtended. Back to Rogue-FP though the few reviews that can be found probably are one of the things holding people back from buying but considering it still gets updates pretty frequently, worthy ones too more than mere fixes and such I hope people catch on that it's probably the best way to play the game that started the whole genre, in a way that more people should be able to like. Barely have even got too far honestly but the graphics alone will probably keep my attention for a good while.

Elminage Gothic

Reviews are way too harsh, it's amazing

It's easily one of the best games of the DRPG/Dungeon crawler genre and most true to Wizardry's overall feel while also being an improvement on the games in many ways. Unlike the JRPG/Anime branch that 99% of the genre became after Wizardry's and Elminage's it stayed more medieval (to put it one way) You don't really only win by abusing weaknesses or by whipping out your ultimate, it's mostly good use of what you have present and what you can find. (as I say it should be as the genre was best when grindy) I sort of like feeling like my whole group sucks for a good like 50 hours, and then they are not too bad for 50 more. ( then hopefuly they are kind of monsters for a good time longer too) Unlike most there's actually enough content and you haven't seen pretty much everyting early on but left with dungeons that you'll know what you'll find in There's a lot to like and it a real loss for the genre and gaming world that there haven't been more to the series, that the genre sadly really took to the anime/jrpg route and that the other elminage's can't be played too well by us who can only play with english translations. (Would love to see other Elminages on here or atleast somewhere with english versions and even the Wizardry Empires and Wizardry Gaiden games too.)

Battle Brothers

Trying to justify buying

Want to feel like my purchases of DLC of Base Game wasn't really a waste so I've been playing but it's not a very fun game and pretty minimum in the strategy department. It's one of those "Strategy" types where there's one clear cookie cutter way for dealing with opponents that also is pretty much the only way that'll work. ... That not strategy, that's one solution (& all Others will devastatingly fail, for the most part) & It's "Difficulty" Is just making you miss 90% of the time and them hitting 99% of the time. I'd point anyone that likes this to and Mount and Blade honestly. This feels like a bad rip of those.

Grimoire : Heralds of the Winged Exemplar

If Wizardry 7 was your favourite of them

Of the 8, if Wizardy 7 was your favourite I'd imagine you'd really like this one too. You'll see others say it; it is painfully slow, even when clicking or pressing enter to get the combat text going by faster it's still kind of awful pace wise. Exploration though, the world, interactions and all of that though is fairly fun. Love having to manually investiage walls AND having to search them with a button to find secrets and stuff. Honestly I would have been happy paying full price for this though, and since I got it for about one Canadian dollar I'm very happy with it. It feels like it's from when the game was first being worked on; that has to be some kind of normal and I doubt there was a following that was adding pressure (sort of like these people that aren't exactly fans.) There is a good game beyond the slow pace; maybe it's not something you'll broadcast to every person you walk by but there's fun for sure.

Neon Abyss - Deluxe Edition Bundle

Fun but very Buggy

Made a review on the Standard editon, but since this ones awaiting more anyways I'll try to say the same stuff and warn/inform The game is fun, but I couldn't recommend it due to game/run-breaking bugs and glitches. There is still the bug(s) where you can't drop down from ledges, years after reports. Don't know if it's a common one but I myself have had that happen and another where you can't jump anymore all of a sudden. Best yet though last time I loaded it up strange font and text took over the mini map and parts of my screen, plus I wasn't able to open my map at all anymore in anyway. I don't think these will be the end of it so save yourself the trouble unless you can tolerate new bugs every time you play.

Neon Abyss

Fun Game but Buggy.

No matter how long since it seems this game still has game/run-breaking bugs and strange glitches, I've seen people talk about the one where you'll be unable to drop down ledges, but I've also had ones where I can't jump all of a sudden anymore and most recently last time I was playing strange font/text took over the mini map and popped up on the bottom right of the screen and in other places too In addition to this I was unable to open my map anymore afterwards. Plus with the fact how the digital deluxe editon of this doesn't come with all the DLC even though the Steam verison does it's hard to recommend. It is fun but it's hard to play because of the bugs.

Enter the Gungeon

Great Game, at a great price.

Love the game though I've never gotten far. Something I've noticed though is that the GOG verison seems different from the Steam one somehow. There's a few things that I noticed but the main one that actually detracts some joy from the game, for me anyways, is that the battle song that would play in nearly every room, in the steam version, doesn't seem to come on on GOG. I'll hear the start of it sometimes but then it's like it gets skipped and another track is chosen. Maybe something about this is why the game is priced cheaper, naturally, than it is on steam. Other than that it's still mad fun, and definitely worth the ~6$ on Sale.

The Suffering

Hermes....

Pretty great horror game with a rather disturbing Story. I kind of wished it went a different direction for TBB, but oh well. Sadly some of the more messed up lines and such are removed, but whoever acted as the voice for Hermes was incredible. I find that the Voice acting for this game was better than TBB's, however the lady who voices Carmen is quite good.

ATOM RPG: Post-apocalyptic indie game

For the Price, it's pretty good.

As the title says, it's a pretty decent game for it's price. I do not understand why they put Martial Arts into it though. When I see that as an option for fighting, I usually choose that because it's generally pretty good. Martial Arts is god damned garbage in this game though. I even gave myself the Blackbelt Perk, so that I'd be even better with it, but it makes you useless with guns. And guess what? Every Bandit/Radier/Person in Rags you'll find uses Guns. So have fun getting close. 111 Points into Martial Arts, and it is a complete waste. Any gun will hit harder, has range, and you don't have to be molested by Bears for trying to give them a punch. Seriously, who designs Martial Arts to be useless? (They should just call it brawling or some such, it's not like you do any cool moves or anything, like Martial Arts generally have.)
