The franchise recieved a nice welcome to the new generations with this remaster. For those who are newcomers, the charm or this game lies on its deep, dark and descriptive writting along with the beautiful voice acting that will send shivers down your spine. It is both deep and easy to follow. Note for the devs: Vignetes are not really that good, we rather have a full unobstructed screen, fart humor isn't funny and the menus of the extra material (Ilustratoins, music, etc) should have been there instead of having shelves where you blindly search for a song or an image from the game. Everything else is very good.

The are some things of the previous game that I would like to have in this one, for example, I consider the jumping was better in the previous one, more natural, but this game has some aditions that make it different and gives a badass experience. The fluency of the combat is really good, kicking ass is definitely more fun. Also, get creative with environmental kills, since they greatly reward you. Some of our antagonists here have daring desings which I appreciate and add something to the vibe of the game. If you like old games or want to try some, this one and the previous are good options to consider.

While I have to admit the combat system shows its age, it's still pretty enjoyable and this game became one of my most darling. It gave me some hard times with some enemies, but defeating them was satisfactory and Rayne, our protagonist, has an attitude that will make you like her in some way. She has become my favorite Femme Fatale. And to close my review. Killing nazis with a half vampire girl is awesome!

The cinematics that play when you open the game are frozen and if you skip them you will only see a black screen. The game had this issues even with compatibility mode. I see some users here got to play the game. Either they were lucky or some configuration made them able to play the game. Even so, I follow the though that playing a game should be as easy a clicking install and play, without further steps required. Needs to be adaptep for modern computers and operative systems.

I wanted to play Hitman games since they seem interesting and have their popularity, so I started with this one. The game is configured... backwards? Actually, a lower resolution means higher resolution on the settings. I understad it is an old game, but text is so pixelated you cannot read a thing. Due to its inestability on modern computers, it will randomly crash. Games need to be adapted to modern systems. And, although compatibility mode exist, it is not guaranteed to always work or work for everyone. If you want to experience the Hitman franchise, go for the modern games, since those were designed to work on modern computers and operative systems.

This game makes the mechanics of the other game more interesting. Also, has new additions. Now the story develops ins a small open world where you have many possibilities. Go to point A to Point B in a non-linear way. Enjoy what the world has to offer such as new weapons, recolection of green goo to upgrade Sebastian abilities and even some side quest which you need to find in your exploration. The story, despite being kinda cliche, is still pretty good and entertaining. If you played the first The Evil Within, you will definitely like this one, and so much more.

This is an excellent game which will deliver tense moments and make you think twice before you make a move. Manage well your resources and you shall be rewarded with powerfull upgrades that will make your adventure more interesting. Every part of this game represents a challenge for you to overcome. The gameplay feels nice, has a very good opressing atmosphere and the visuals are pretty nice. I'm not the kind to despise others, but you should ignore reviews of those who try and see games as Resident Evil and Silent Hill in this game. This is The Evil Within, it's a different game, not an spin off of those. This game will deliver fear to you in it's own way. Personally, this is a must play.
