Ultima™ 8 Gold Edition

a better game now than 20 years ago

Pagan got canned when it was released. Because it was so different from the previous entries, required a computer from the future to run properly and had some very very clunky mechanism (spell casting is horrible). It has otherwise a great setting, memorable characters, and a dark, grim world and mood that really makes it unique and screams "wasted potential". If you can overcome the awkward magic, frustrating (and unforgiving) jumping puzzles and battle, this is worth trying and finishing.

Planescape: Torment

The best RPG every made

Where to begin? It has enthralling story, terrific character design, memorable moments, avoids all the stereotypes and pitfalls of fantasy settings, brutal battles, epic spells, best dialogs ever, countless possibilities and above all else is one of the few RPG rewarding you for playing the game the way you want.

Dungeons & Dragons: Dragonshard

OK if you like D&D

It's one of the few RTS set in the D&D rules and settings. Some characters memorable, and your party has a good character design; you care for them and their story. It could be easily discarded if not for the fact it is one of the few D&D RTS that somehow hold it all together. Otherwise OK in the average of RTS of it's time.

Machinarium Collector's Edition

On of the best post-2000 adventure games

It is original, funny, poetic, beautiful, immersive and challenging at times. There are ways to get hints when you are stuck. Overall, it combine the best of pre-2000 adventure games had (story, personality) and post-2000 (ease of access, production value). One flaw, however: rather short, which is ok on the iPad, but not on Mac / PCs.
