There isn't a lack of good action RPGs these days and, if you're new to the series, you might wonder why you'd want to play Sacred 2 when you can play games like Diablo 3, Grim Dawn, Dark Souls 1&2, Path of Exile etc. Well, it's perfect if you're looking for a straightforward romp with a ton of looting and fighting (also cheap, especially during sales). There aren't many meaningful choices with sprawling questlines, but there's a lot of peculiar humor and quirkiness that you can't help but smile at. It's actually similar humor to the Black Isle games like Baldur's Gate and even early Ultima games, except more prominent. Most quests are basic MMO-like stuff, yet quite short and there's a huge game world to cover while doing them. There's so much loot and so many mobs to kill that you'll almost get sick of them. I'd say it's even too easy, but there are classes and builds that make for a bigger challenge if you so desire (like Inquisitor or Temple Guardian). Essentially you're there to be a badass and enjoy looking at some nice equipment, then ride out to whack a bunch of undead and kobold mobs to gather even nicer stuff. Also recommended is the Community Patch for the game, Sacred 2 isn't too buggy or anything on it's own but the patch does organize some things better and also adds things that the devs couldn't get finished.
