If you like retro shooters - this game is AMAZING*! So much fun! right to the action, no BS. *Im an experienced shooters player so I only played on the hardest difficulty because that felt like the right amount of challenge to me (enemy count, bullet hell, etc.) - so if you plan on choosing easier modes your experience might be different than mine.
This game is an indie gem! basically if you liked Doom Eternal you'll never regret buying this! A fast-paced shooter with great weapons, satisfaying mechanics and a freaking chainsaw built-in to your leg and you slide with it killing enemies like a damn lunatic! Truely amazing! Note: It's not bug free, but i didnt encounter any game breaking bugs so far.
TLDR: buy this game if you want a fast-paced cool shooter with emphasis on movement, cool weapons, nice enemy variety, good enemy AI (not ground breaking but not dumb), great soundtrack and great replay value. ----- I have very little time, thankfully Severed Steel respects that and get you right into the action! Over the top, high tempo, shooter with cool mechanics like slow-motion, sliding, dodghing, double jumping, wall running - i mean, what else could you ask for?! The story is not important, nor is it interesting, but that's not why you'll buy and play this game. You're paying for bang for your buck - and oh boy does it deliver! the replay value on this is off the charts! I have played this extensively, and still do to this day. Bought the GOG version because I had to support the devs and also to get a DRM free version of this game for my self.
