What a finale! I cried at the end because it was so touching and really got me, the twist(s) were also all rather unexpected and I did NOT see it coming. I will miss these two characters so much.... In terms of visuals it's, I think, the most refined of the series and rather gorgeous, the winter atmosphere and all is just beautiful. There is just one grief I have with the series: the dropped plot points; I think they would have been really cool.

I played it a few years ago and immensely enjoyed it as a fan of classic P&C adventures and RPGs; without having played the main inspiration "Heros Quest" before. The cold, nordic atmosphere combined with gorgeous pixelart and a beautiful icy-blue colour palette for the UI really captivated me and I had a lot of joy exploring this rather vast world. The dialogue writing was surprisingly silly many times, I did expect a more serious story, but I didn't mind it since it was still rather entertaining. Overall, it's free, go get it! I would even recommend it if it had a price.

My most favourite Civ! I still play it, particularly with one of the billion of mods out there. The gameplay flow, the different game mechanics and how they interact with each other is just really addictive and interesting; these mechanics become particularly interesting with mods who go in different directions and often deeper than the base game. The graphics aged definitely, but since when was Civ about graphics?

I played the shit out of this game as a child, and went back to it 1 year ago; and I ahve to say, it's an interesting inbetween Civ 2 and Civ 4 with the better and the worse sides of both games. Ultimately, I prefer the approach of 4, which goes towards a simulation, more than the boardgame feeling of Civ 2. It's a cool part of gaming history, but yeah, for me, Civ 4 is better.

One of my most favourite Paradox games; it has it's flaws which always annoyed me, but the overall atmosphere of the setting, going through different nations and their flavours, was always a huge joy. And yes, I like managing factories, capitalists are so bad at it. I'd personally recommend the "Concert of Europe" mod

Maybe I'm just bad, but I had a tough time with this game; it really made me savescum, try a hundred different approaches to an encounter and also wonder occassionally if I had fucked up my skilling 25 hours earlier. I love it. Of particular joy to me is the overall world and atmosphere, crawling through old caves, subway tunnels or bunkers/vaults and discovering what mysteries lie there is pure joy to me. (The sierra military bunker in Fallout 2 is one of my most favourite locations) The writing is solid and never caught me as much as some other CRPGs, but was still compelling enough to enjoy going through the dialogs, wonder what the different people have to tell and so on. Oh and the dry and/or absurd humour sometimes is just splendid

What captivated me the most about Dishonored were it's world building and art design; the mystery behind the mask, the outsider, the magic in this world; ideas like mathematical music beating black magic and so on are just amazing. The storyline in itself was just solid and enough to drive the game but nothing too special; it lives definitely from the setting and the gameplay; but these two are executed so well that it's a worthwile experience.
