There is a problem with the general vision of the game. If you come expecting a successor to HOMM 3 you might be disappointed. Since nobody from the original team worked on this title, it somehow lacks something i can't put my finger on. It just doesn't feel like a Heroes game. The fact it is 3D bears a lot of problems with items not being very visible due to poorly selected colors generating little to no contrast between them and the environment. But take my opinion with a grain of salt. This game just didn't impress me at a personal level. You might enjoy it. Try a "demo" first.
I bought this game back in 2005 when it first came out. I have played it many times since than and it never gets old. It is just that good. Timeless graphics, amazing sound design, amazing characters. It is a sin that this game is not on every computer on the planet. As an extra incentive to buy, remember that right now Double fine owns the rights for publishing Psychonauts exclusivelly. So you need to buy this game so they can make money to make us more amazing games. Buy it. Best 10 dollars you will ever spend.
