Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales

An instant classic

I have to say this. I am one jaded gamer. I have been playing games for almost 20 years now and not much can impress me. But this game. It is just a masterpiece. The reason i used to play video games. The gameplay is solid, the gwent rules forcing you to think due to the nature of the two row system. The cards are interesting, fresh. All cards are cool in their own weird little way, and you have to play them to fully understand, even than only begining to undestand the combinations. Oh my the combinations. Once you see what a couple of cards played in the right order can do you start thinking thee turns ahead out of reflex. Even more amazing is how the game teaches you all this. Alongside the normal battles (which themselves are unique) you have puzzles. These battles are meant to teach you different combinations of cards and the true potential of the game. Oh, all that good gameplay is also incapsulated in great world building, exploration that matters and a great story that stand on its own. This game reminds of Heroes 3. A perfect storm of art, music, gameplay and this time story (Heroes' 3 sucked but that didn't matter). Thronebreaker should be played by everyone, It is a must buy, instant hall of fame, best game of all time material. Also, as a negative its far too easy for a jaded experienced gamer like me.

Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun

A gem from a different age

This game is what video games used to be. A form of entertainment not bound by politics that challenged your imagination and kept you interested through game play . The graphics are amazing, the sound is top notch, the missions are complex, varied and interesting, never letting you get bored. Its a video game like the games of my childhood. Tough but fair, abusable but fun, not to long but not too short, innovative but not at the cost of game play. Its a gem, rare, with a glow to remember, a classic that you feel is great before you even press New Game. Buy it. You will not regret it. Also as a plus it has a demo. I mean who does that this days? Its like they had faith you might like it or something. Insane i tell you.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

The best RPG i have ever played

My first impressions are positive. I hear quite a lot about downgrading but in the end i think the game looks better than any other game released ever. Just my 2 cents. Also on the technical side although its quite hot where i live the game is very well optimized. It uses the CPU and video card properly unlike other games from other publishers and my computer keeps cool. Overall i was shocked at how smooth the game runs on my rig considering the fact my video card is just above minimum spec. The game play is good, i find the controls precise and the difficulty just right on Blood and broken bones. Its too early to give a definitive verdict but as it stands now it is better than any other RPG i have ever played. So for now its 10/10

Divinity: Original Sin Classic

As good as it gets

I don't have words to describe how satisfying, fun and deep this RPG is. People keep saying it is a great successor to Baldur's Gate 2, or Ultima 7 but the truth is in my honest opinion it is better. Old school RPGs generally had great world design, but bad graphics. Or great combat, but bad story. Baldur's Gate 2 came closest to being "perfect" but at the end of the day it didn't have the freedom Divinity: Original Sin has. So in a sense this is the BEST RPG ever made. Because the combat is fun and deep. Because the writing and questing is great. The graphics are amazing, the music is divine. Add to that complete freedom to approach questing and combat. 10/10 without a doubt. It is really that good.
