This game cast a spell on me! I am absorbed. It works really well. The battles are fun and give you meaningful choices. The characters, voices, the overal presentation is just outstanding. So far I have only praise for this game. I am still in the middle of the journey and I am very much looking forward how the story unfolds.
This game is a little gem. You get a city, colony builder which wants you to scale. Make it bigger. Make more. So much more that you can field and support an army of thousands. This is a prime example of what indie game development is all about.
For me this is the best game on the market covering the american civil war. The intricate economic simulation which feeds into army supply and logistics are great game features. Regarding the battles it is no total war. The battles remind me of Sid Meier's Gettysburg!, which I like!
Distant Worlds:Universe was the best space 4x on the market before. Now it is Distant Worlds 2. Better graphics, much better UI and so much more which can be added to this wonderful game. What sets this game apart from all the other games is the in game economy. Mines have to be constructed, material mined and transported so that base and ship components can get fabricated and assembled. The possible scale and liberty in automation are other noteworthy features.
