Third person shooter adventure with some telekinetic powers thrown in for good measure and a couple RPGs mechanics. The game is basically SCP meets Alan Wake: an interesting story with lots of background lore via text, audios and ghostly apparitions, in my opinion the highlights of the story are when the game is trying to mess with your preception of its reality, pretty cool stuff. I totally can see how they could spin the narrative towards some more convoluted and terrifying, but they played it more on the safe side of things; there are no overpówered creatures like SCP 173 or dreadful philosophycal implications like in Legacy of Kain, at least not on the surface. Overall is an enjoyable experience with some gorgeous graphics and kicking music to accompany you in your journey. I am certainly hopeful for the future of this franchise.

after finishing the main campaing and the dlc I can say the game is not bad, but there are some things that really needed more work Graphics and sound desing are nice, definetively a good experience in those fronts The story is ambiguous and makes you question the PC's reality, so it's ok, I guess Combat requires you to learn attack patterns, which is pretty standard in "souls" games, but what really bothers me is that enemies track you in the middle of their attacks, most enemies are small enough to dodge out of the way, but the bulky ones you'll encounter in the final part or the game and the bosses are a nightmare. The first boss is likely the hardest in the game, you got little in the means of gear and it is a gigantic mecha that you can't even see very well due to the camera angle, so it takes a while to learn its patterns, but then he turns around ridiculously fast, and in 2 frames this giant mecha turns around and beats you to a pulp, I don't blame anyone for giving up on this game just because of this boss, it took me like 20 tries to down it, for reference, the last boss of the game only took me 2 tries The grind is pretty severe, since armor really does little to protect you (2 maxed out sets with 20 armor difference only made like 5 points of damage reduction, jack sh** when you are taking hits that count on the hundreds) so your best bet is to stack health/stamina implants, and those need power which can only be gained by leveling up, and leveling up is a slow a painful process, which leads me to my final complaint: remember how you have to travel back to recover your souls in DS? well, in this game you not only have to make the perilous journey with respawning enemies, you also have a time limit My final assesment: the game is not fun, these types of games are not meant to be, they are punishing and brutal, but the trick is to find the right balance, but cheating enemy movement and annoying progression robbed this game of its greatness

This feels like a minimun effort cellphone game, the graphics are ok, the music is minimal, but seviceable and the writing is what I expected from a tabletop license, all is well so far, but the mechanics, oh boy, is horrendous: The HUD is minimal and so damn small, even with the High res option enabled is very hard to read dialogue text You cannot position your characters prior to an encounter so you will always start with a disadvantage, specially because encounters sometimes start after conversations, with enemies taking the first turn, that's a free shotgun to the face The game estrongly encourages you to hire extra characters for your missions, but this is not only expensive, but a hired character only works for you for a single mission, ytou can't change their loadouts, you can't change their skills or level them up as you see fit Enemies are abundant and your resources are limited, I got to the ripper boss with zero medkits left, I got wiped out like a paper doll I created a decker for my first playthrough thinking it would be very cool to hack into turrets or robots to use against my enemies, but I was wrong Fortunately I received this as a gift because I cannot recommend it in good conscience, extremely disappointing, better off playing the old shadowrun in SNES

Full disclosure, at the start of the game it is implied that using typhon powers might bring negative consequences, so I decided not to invest in them, HUGE MISTAKE, take typhon powers, otherwise you'll end up playing a very boring and slow paced game, like I did. That said, the "human powers" route allowed me to see the flaws of the game more clearly: Horror, action, stealth, survival, the game does it all, but excels at none, as the name implies, you are not the hunter, you are the prey, and the enemies are eager to tear you apart, they are faster, stronger and numerous,.taking them head on is suicidal unlñess you heavily invest in typhon powers, because your weapons are a total joke, even with sneak critical hits you'll need more than a few rounds to down a phantom, which brings me to... The stealth, which is utterly broken. Is your best bet, but the sneak routes are few and not a guarantee of your success since enemies can detect you even when you are above their heads, hiding in the shadows, or they hear you even when you are crouching for no particular reason. And as I mentioned before you can shoot an enemy while sneaking to get a damage bonus, but then you'll have to hide for a long time before attempting another sneak attack And talking about survival, the game has a limit on the resources you can gather, which could hint at survival mechanics, but truth is, you'll need to squander a lot of resources in order to really run out of materials to craft ammo. In the end what kept me playing was the story, the setup has its issues, but for the most part it holds up pretty well, the story takes the amnesic hero trope and spins it around, revealing how a huge dickhead you are, or were, letting you decide what kind of character you wanna be and arriving at a satisfactory ending( asuming your decisions are consistent) with a mind blowing plot twist in the postcredits So yeah, I'd recommend it if you like immersive sims, just take the damn typhon powers

I can see the appeal of the game, but after 50 hours I was so tired of it that I decided to play something else, and when I came back to it I realised I didn't remember anything about it or what was I supposed to be doing so... meh, out the window it goes

Fast paced combat in close quarters, enemies get more spongy and faster as you advance, the puzzles are more complex than in the first game. There is no map, no journal, and you can only see the key items you are carrying, but any hints of where to use them you are gonna have to get them by yourself via exploration, you may think you found a secret area, but you are wrong, that's a room you'll have to visit later. This game is savage, is like King's Field on steroids, get ready to get beaten to a pulp all while you get lost in the increasingly complex levels, and that is on "normal" difficulty I strongly suggest you to take notes, unless you want to use a walkthrough, that's alright, there's no shame in it. Also, don't forget to save often and read the manual for the usable items descriptions, yopu are gonna need all those tools to get by. I loved the first game and I'm certainly enjoying this one, I haven't finished it yet tho

I was skeptical about the new perspectiv. However, the mechanics of the combat are basically the same, is fast paced action at its finest, the game looks good, sounds good and controls good, except for some weird glitches and minor bugs I have not encountered anything detracting from the experience ( I can blame myself for most of the glitches, trying to break sequences and exploring like a good treasure hunter) The game strongly suggest the use of a gamepad, and trust me, you want to get a controller because there are so many commands that I couldn't see myself playing with the keyboard. Is Darksiders, but isometric, and it's good.

The game has its charm with the visuals, the music and the narrator providing a great setting for the gameplay that was by far my favorite part, being able to control all the "classes" made for a great experience that never felt old, I finished each level at least once with each character and by the end I was so overpowered taht the last boss had no chance against me I strongly recommend it if you enjoy games like diable or grim dawn, is not as complex or as long, but is worth the price

At first I wa trying to be ultra sneaky, but quickly realised the game is more action oriented, with a few "mandatory stealth" short sections, and to tell the truth, the combat is very fluid and controls are smooth (gamepad recommended). Most of the bosses are kind of boring, even the final boss is just a gauntlet fight against henchmen, my favorite boss fight was against Ivy. Storywise it feels very much like a Batman movie, which is great, and with such an outstanding cast is even better. My only qualm with the plot is that The Riddler somehow hacks into your ultra secure comms (fair enough), but then Batman and Oracle keep talking like if their security wasn't compromised, even using their real names (yeah, writers dropped the ball there). There is a fair amount of secrets and easter eggs to collect, but since the map is not very big, it doesn't get boring, I solved all of Nigma's puzzles and felt quite satisfied with the length of the hunt. I got a few visual glitches, but nothing major, the game runs smoothly at 60 fps with zero crashes or bugs. For me the screen flickered like crazy when I tried to view the character trophies, maybe it won't for you, but I like to share my own experiences. Overall, the game is very enjoyable, they made it small and well packed, I can't wait to see how they screwed it on subsquent entries (they always do, always).

I finally beat it and let me tell you, I wish this game was shorter, there are some technical issues too, but the most offensive is the sound design, many times I could hear people like if they were next to me even if they were 30 meters away. Also, skip the race missions, the driving controls are garbage (driving with a keyboard always is), I tried using a gamepad and it didn't help, whoever decided to put the acelerator on R2 and break on L2 buttons should be fired, there's nothing wrong with the classic cross-square-circle holy trinity for driving Also also, I encountered some bugs that forced me to close and reboot the game, because of course, I had at least 8 CTD, that's a new record for a Mafia game, otherwise it runs smoothly at 60 fps Don't get me wrong, the fact I finished the game means that it has enough good moments to keep you going, but god damn, I'm glad it is over
