This is really good game with an amazing sountrack and tells a compelling story in the darksiders timeline. It has a good replayability and an interesting RPG system that can change the way you approach combat. You could play coop with a friend or your +1, split screen is also available, enjoyable with a big screen. If you are a darksiders fan, this is a must and if you are not it is still an enjoyable ride. Pun intended. The puzzles can be challenging but they are doable dont take it personally, besides you dont have to get everything to enjoy the game. Hint: those jumps are puzzles, you got find out which type of jump is required. It can be challenging controlling your character with a top-down view if you are not used to it, but you will get there. I did. Okay, I am done sucking this game d**k now. Enjoy it.
This is an enjoyable game. I am a fan of the darksiders universe, compared to the other 2 releases this followed the souls model. so might be off putting for most who expect to be chainning combos instead of the being more strategic & methodical. For me the performance of the game is terrible, I have suffered crashes and lag. This is 2020 and still the performance is terrible for a 2018 game. I am using an Nvidia Geforce 1060 GTX & an Intel Core i7. This can be annoying especially considering its a soulike, so you did succeed in defeating that boss & reclaiming your souls. Well too bad for you because the game crashed & you have to repeat it or worse your souls go missing. For this reason I cannot recommend this enjoyable game.
With the amount of content it has definitely recommended. The RPG system is well flushed out here infact if you liked the 1st darksiders you would love this 1 as it is an improvement on the previous. Puzzles are interesting as ever & combat is better than previous. But the darksiders combat is still not up to snuff, its not bad but just meh. The camera orientation is not helpful & its still just feels button mashy & cheesy. Boss fights are where it shines.
The game is good and easily recommendable. I loved the puzzles, the act style is beautiful and the boss fights are interesting and varied which also require some kind of puzzle to defeat. The story and pacing were on point. I dont like the camera it hinders combat & puzzle solving it might have been better further away. The lock-on system do not need to be zoomed in to work & can hinder you when trying to dodge. The mechanic of leveling up your gear was poorly implemented & the Scythe should be acquired in-game. Don't like the idea of making players backtrack through empty levels to acquire chests, its boring.
