Another 8-bit 2d side scrolling adventure game why why why..... at least these were my first thoughts and to tell the truth they didn't change after few minutes of the game. But there is more then meats the eye. Huge amount of content and while you progress you collect more and more of your adventures kit and thanks to those items you can explore places that were in this or other way forbidden blocked or obscured to you. A platformer and I'll have to say that there were moments of doubt and nearly throwing my keyboard out the window after another death while the save point being waaayyyy back. But all in all its good that it is in many cases so hardcore because nowadays I have a feeling that those kinds of games are being dumbed down a little bit. I loved the boss fight and yea there will be a lot of them, but also have to say this, without any details because not to spoil anything but the ending is well..... surprising but I just waited for something epic and frankly it is not there. All in all a good old school peace of adventure for few long, long hours.
On one hand the game is really nice and bring out those memories of old shooter but to tell the truth if it was not free I think I would regret buying it because although it is old and should be hard core, from the second chapter your ship is so buffed that, and I am really serious now, I was playing it with a book put on the space (space is the fire button) and just some time evading bullets crashing through the game like a boss practically being invincible. But there are also some nice game mechanics like during some boss fights your view changes from bottom to top and the upgrading of your ship is also really nice but like I said before it's not balanced really good.
