When I first fired-up the tutorial for this game, I knew it was going to take some practice, tough when you're getting used to the controls. Speaking of controls, they can be a little overly-sensitive at times, almost like digital controls on analogue sticks, a little off-putting at first, because you are literally all over the road, but... As with everything, it does get easier the more you play, so stick with it ;-). My first Custom race, after some practice on time-trial, I actually won. Granted, it was by only 3/4 of a second, but a win is a win :-D. Given how tough it is when you first start playing, that win is pretty sweet and worth all the effort. I'm looking forward to unlocking more, to see everything this game has to offer. Not sure how long that will take though, still getting used to the tracks. It does remind me of racing games from many years ago, before analogue was even available, so for me it brings back some great memories :-).
Got this yesterday and I like it so far. It is Early Access, so it's not going to be perfect, but it is pretty well polished. I'm looking forward to controller support, I always find it much easier in games where you're running-around like a headless chicken sometimes. There are some frame-rate drops at times, not sure whether that's because of Unity, or my hardware, or both. They are minimal though, so it's not too distracting. Looking at what will become available as you play and/or the game gets updated, store expansion etc., this should be pretty good when finished. A welcome break and a little escapism in the Wild West ;-).
