Okay it's a solid story with lots of lovely powers and options, and as a vampire the masquerade fan- I like how they've done a story for vampire which isn't EMO It is however, a little cheesy, several powers are very easy to exploit, and there arn't a lot of RP choices. However, i bought it played it, through and probably will again.
If you like customising your character with +5 longswords of longswordy ness, working out perfect class/equipment combinations, in a cookie cut setting, this game is not for you. and this is probably why the game never made great sales despite high crtical praise. Planescape is a fantastic, bizzare fantasic world, still ahead of it's time, give it a shot, indulge it a little, you'll soon love it.
