I love this game. The devs put a lot of work into making this game. There are some youtube channels that have hilarious playthroughs if you want to get an idea of what this game is like. Works pretty well on Steam Deck as well with some tinkering to setup the keyboard (its pretty weird but works ok).
I have it on Itch. Such a chill game got me right in the feels. A story of growing up and that weird stage where you are technically an adult but what really changed? Has some mini games and story choices, exploration and sort of platforming (jump puzzles that are easy enough they don't cause you to rage quit). Can't recommend enough.
I bought this game on steam right when they first released it in ea. The developers are very active and obviously love this game. The feel and look of the world is pretty great. controls are solid. Flying around is a lot of fun. My only wish is for coop. Flying the ships around with a friend to help crew the ship would be so much fun. I beat the game in about 10hrs at release. since then they have added in a bunch more content including (essentially) raid bosses. For me the appeal of the game was less rushing through the story and more the exploration. There is a lot of secrets to find.
So far im really enjoying the game. Love the atmosphere, sounds, colours. There is a large variety of items and spells to choose from in your run. The control are tight. The biggest thing I think needs some work is having the enemy attacks be easier to see. Sometimes the ranged attacks get lost and other times I have no idea if a melee attack is happening or not. For early access and especially the price I think this is an awesome game to support. I want to see what the final product will be. Also don't listen to that other comment from the person who hasn't even played the game but bases their opinion off of a screenshot.
If you are having issues playing it there are some really easy fixes in the forums. Essentially you just have to change the name of the quickplayer and one other file and it works perfect. It does have a bit of a grind but that is no different than any other game in this genre especially from the time period. I love the lore and worldbuilding though and if you can get the game on sale for $3 its more than fair.
I do feel bad for the people who can't play because they have lower than a 1070ti or only have a ps4 but I love this game. There are a few little bugs here and there but so much less than a bethesda game and they aren't game breaking. The story has been fantastic and I love the gunplay but have been running as exclusively a sword wielder. With the upcoming updates I have no doubt this will be game of the decade based on how amazing they were with Witcher 3. I would probably have a more negative outlook if I was one of the many people who can't play it because of the earlier mentioned issues.
There are a few things that need tweaks but overall this game is awesome. I grew up playing NwN and this to me is the sequel i always wanted. The gameplay is tight. The voice acting and story are immersive. There are some balancing issues but it hasnt been an issue for me and i'm playing on the hardest difficulty. I think you need to realize that the pause button is your best friend. I am really excited for them to continue working on this game.
